Pop Warner Party Night Can you buy extra ticket?

For my Pop Warner friends who have done this a bunch of times, I read that you can buy additional tickets to the Pop Warner Party. My daughter and I are going and staying with the package. My husband and other daughter will be nearby visiting friends, they will come for the day to watch the cheer performance that happens to fall on Wednesday so I'd like them to come to the party on Wednesday night at the Animal Kingdom. I've read you can buy additional tickets from your hotel, can anyone confirm this and give me a ballpark price on the cost?

I'd recommend that you skip the party if it's anything like it's been when I went from 2008-2012 (my daughter was a cheerleader).

Back then it was at Hollywood Studios and closed to all but the cheer and football players, coaches and families. Crazy busy and now with the shortage of rides the lines will take hours. Also, many of the football teams who come to thePop Warner Championship without park tickets and only get to go this night - those teams are generally very poorly chaperoned - usually no parents and just a few coaches. My suggestion - go to MK or EPCOT instead.

Sorry I don't know the answer to this, but I did have a question of my own.

I see that the packages this year require all participants to stay at one of the select resorts. Has that always been the case and it just wasnt enforced? I didn't know you HAD to purchase a package.

The Pop Warner Disney site says you can purchase additional at select resort locations and at ESPN complex, but doesn't give a price.

You do have to stay at one of the resorts and purchase a package through your town Pop Warner branch. They usually have two choices a lower cost value resort option and a moderate resort option - the team and local Pop Warner leadership will choose the resort and each team has to stay together. Our teams were always Cheer and we stayed at the moderates - I heard many horror stories of un- and under-supervised football teams the value resorts.

Football will be at Pop this year so that's the only spillover you might get

Do Football players really not have to buy tickets? In order to go Cheerleaders are required to purchase as part of a package which includes at minimum a 3 day park hopper. We went in 2015 when it was a Hollywood Studios and we enjoyed it but we're not really into the big thrill rides which are likely the ones with the big lines. Food is included though and I was tickled that I could eat as much as I wanted for "free"!!! I hear AK is slightly less fun because it is so spread out but the food will still be included so I'm happy!
