Pop Warner and MVMCP

How does Pop Warner affect attendance at the party? We've got tickets for Thursday, 12/6. This will be my mom's first MVMCP and I hope the crowd won't be too large for her to enjoy it.

We've gone to WDW and to MVMCP for the past two Decembers during Pop Warner week -- no problems, no issues with the party, etc. My advice is not to worry and to get ready to have a magical trip!

Even though my family and I have not been to MVMCP before, wouldn't the Pop Warner kids effect it if they had purchased tickets for one of the nights? I mean since it's a hard ticket event and if they were at the Magic Kingdom earlier in the day without tickets to MVMCP they would be asked to leave, like everyone else without tickets.

If they did purchase tickets yes, it would affect it. How many of them actually do that, I don't know. Sure didn't seem to affect it last year on Dec. 5 when we went to the party though. It was great!

Thanks guys! I'm hoping attendance will be light that night. I'd love to just stay on Splash Mtn. for an hour without having to get off! That would be ideal! Don't know if Mom would go for that though,

That is the night of the MVMCP Mousefest meet so it may be a bit more crowded than usual for a Thursday night in early December.

You may also have some problems getting an ADR in or near the park as well.

We went to MVMCP during Pop Warner week last year and didn't really notice the kids at the party. It seemed to be the only place all week that wasn't overwhelmed with uncontrolled teenagers!

My son and I went to MVMCP during Pop Warner week last year and there was little to no wait for the rides! Most people stayed over by Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. My DS7's (6 at the time) favourite ride is Splash Mountian and there was no wait. The CMs were letting people stay on the logs if they wanted to go again. The same with BTMRR! The line up were so good last year we decided to go back the same time this year. Have Fun!

According to their website, the Pop Warner Super Bowl and National Cheer and Dance Championships consists of football championships (Pop Warner is the football equivalent of Little League) as well as cheer/dance squad championships. This year's championships take place December 2- 8. I would tend to think that they probably wouldn't be a factor at MVMCP since it's a late night event, not to mention the added cost. I was there last year during Pop Warner week, and I do remember seeing a lot of teenagers, but I don't recall it being an issue at MVMCP.
