POP vs Poly

Since you are only planning on doing 1 park day and 1 water park day, then I would choose Poly. You can take the monorail to other resorts to go exploring. The pools and beach are awesome and you can see the fireworks everynight from the beach. The electric water pageant goes by every night at 9 too. I love the Poly!!

Put the teens at Pop Century and you and your husband at the Polynesian :thumbsup2

Do you have a code for Polly? Why don't you look into renting DVC points and getting a 1-bed!! THat would be perfect for your family! :thumbsup2

Me and my family love POP. We have stayed there for 3 trips and love it, the only bad part is that there is no slide and a lot of people like the slides.:thumbsup2 Have fun on your trip.:thumbsup2

At 19 & 15? Seriously?

15, oh yeah. Even at 19 you have to look at their maturity level. If they are staying in connecting rooms (or if they are right next door to each other), fine. But a room on another floor or building? No way. Not to be an ageist (spelling?), but most 19 year olds are idiots and need to be chaperoned. Just my opinion. :goodvibes And some families are really close. I personally wouldn't mind sharing a hotel room with my parents. I think that it would be really fun.

:lmao: Evil! I love it!

To answer your question, I would go with Poly. If you two want a little alone time, send the kids to the beach.

Definately go with the Poly! :yay: I have two older children myself, and even when we are divided into separate rooms, they still seem to migrate over to ours. I guess I'm fortunate?!? that our kids (over 18) still want to hang around Mom and Dad. The atmosphere at the Poly is beautiful. Lot's of things to do boats, bikes, great pool with a slide, and a beautiful beach with great hammocks! What a view of the castle and the fireworks. A more mature setting and I think that at their ages they'll enjoy it. :thumbsup2

Frankly, having stayed at both resorts (and love them both), I'd go with two rooms at a moderate! For a resort emphasis vacation a moderate that has multiple pools would be ideal and having two rooms would be ideal on many levels.

The Poly is wonderful, but for this trip, two rooms would be awfully nice.

I'd recommend POR or CSR.

However, if you don't like this idea, I'd vote for the Poly. Its a special trip and while I love Pop, to me its not ideal for a trip where you plan to spend more time at your resort than the parks.

Have fun and Happy Birthday!

Definitely the Poly if you're spending so much time at the resort. It's the best!! You'll love it!

I can see where folks would be a bit skittish at the idea of sharing the room with all the kids, but I agree that you can always spend a little alone time while the kids are out at the pool or something.

We have stayed at all levels, and enjoyed them all. However, if you are planning on staying primarily at the resort....go with the Poly. It's awesome.

What do you guys think about this?

2 nights at POP
3 nights at Poly

I think this will make everyone in my family happy!

I hate switching resorts mid-vacation. YMMV.

Sounds like a good compromise! Now because it is your birthday, make the rest of the family pack you up while you relax by the pool :thumbsup2

That is what we will be doing. I figure we won't be getting in real early on Saturday so why pay deluxe prices and we have a none park day Monday, so we can sleep in and swim a little at pop then move to Poly.
