hello all,

i have a question which requires some guidance.

we (wife and twin 3 year old girls)are going down to orlando on labor day. we are staying in town through friday.

we were planning on staying at the hifs with a aaa rate. then came along the azz rate at disney.

i looked into pop century for the time and we can actually get two rooms for the price of hifs. ($55x2+tax)

question... has anybody stayed at both? does pop have a decent enough pool for preschoolers?

my wife seems to like the idea of hifs but then there is the advantage of free parking. i just wondered if anybody could tell me how he two hotels compare.

thanks,

jwb

If you can get 2 rooms at WDW for the price of 1 at HIFS -- your crazy not to take the 2 rooms at POP. Nothing like staying on WDW property!!

You will have plenty of room and 2 bathrooms.
POP has a great food court from what many posters have written.

Value resorts pools are your basic pool.

I would definitely stay on-site. One of my friends was talking about their last visit to WDW just yesterday. She said they stayed at the HIFS last October and would never stay off property again. She said HIFS was nice enough, but she really missed the Disney touches. She is staying at Pop Century this year.

Pop Century has 3 pools. The Bowling Pin pool, the Computer pool, and the Hippie Dippie pool, that has spraying flowers. It also has a kiddie pool, with spraying water. And a favorite among little kids, is Goofy's Pop Jet area... one of those fun shooting water things, similar to DTD or at Epcot.

Never stayed at HIFS, but we were at POP earlier this month and we really enjoyed it. Nothing like having two seperate baths for the same price either. We took our 2 1/2 year old daughter in the kiddie pool at POP, it is by the Hippy Dippy pool. It was very nice. The whole area is 'floored' in that spongy material so there is nothing hard to fall on when they play and the pool is zero entry all around so nothing for the kids to climb iover, they just wade right in. There are little fountain things spraying water too. My daughter didn't want to get out. Plus, as Chip and Dale Express mentions there is the Goofy pop jet area, also covered in that soft spongy stuff so the kids can play. Good luck with your decision.

This statement says it all!!! And once you stay on property you will never leave (except as a night prior to a stay, such as a late arrival!) :teeth:

Stay on property!
