We are looking to go down in November for a long weekend.
Friday - Monday/Tuesday

It will 4 adults.

My two options are
Standard Room at Pop
Standard Room at Coronado (non tower room)

Coronado is about $400~ extra but granted it does come with the extra space.
We have annual passes and free flights so its really just the hotel we are paying out of pocket.

Thoughts?

I've stayed at both during the Holidays. Pop has a great Tree in the lobby with ornaments from earlier decades (maybe I like it for nostalgia's sake....'cause I'm old), but Coronado was beautiful! I can't speak to how it will be this year with the opening of the tower, but I can't imagine that it will be LESS than it was. Beautiful trees and decor that represent the culture of Coronado. Truly lovely. I guess what I'm saying is that you can't go wrong with your decision depending on your preferences. Have a great trip!

Real adults? Or preteen/teenage adults? Don't forget the extra adult charges $15 per night per person at Pop, $25 per person per night at Coronado. Two rooms at Pop might be a better option than one room at CSR.
