Which do you prefer?
Ive stayed in all star movies and enjoyed it,but pop looks nice too?
Any opinions on pop?;)

I've only stayed at ASMo too - it's great

I've heard the check in queues at POP are huge most of the time which put me off. I suppose it makes sense as it is a much bigger resort.

The possibility of being futher away from everything was a turn off too - I love the theming - maybe when we are past the puchchair/carrying stage we'll consider it :)

when I arrived at POP! about four coach loads of people arrived at the same time. The check in desk was huge with space for about 14 ressie staff, but only three were working, it took me well over an hour to get checked in and I was near the front of the queue!
also I was allocated a room inthe 80's section and it took us about 15 - 20 minutes to trundle our way over there, far too far to make use of refillable mugs at the end of a busy park day and too far to just nip out for a coffee in the mornings before getting ready. If you go there get 'preferred' otherwise its just too big a resort to comfortably get round.
I loved ASMo though and was in the Toy Story building, If I went back there I'd definatley pay the extra to become 'preferred' as TS is now.

Ive stayed at Pop and ASMO and its a close call but I prefer Pop. When I went last Christmas there were only a couple of people at the check in queue and when we wandered past in the eves it never seemed really busy so hopefully they have sorted the problem with queues. It is a big resort so it pays to request a room close to the food court, we stayed in the 50's building it was brilliant, the pool was right outside our door and it was only a 3 min walk to the food court. The reasons I prefer it to ASMO are its location and the buses. ASMO is a little tucked away whereas Pop is much more central so you are closer to Epcot, DTD etc. Also at Pop you don't share buses with other hotels like you do at the All Stars which saves time as you don't have to keep dropping people off and you are more likely to get a seat.

We stayed at POP in Feb and really liked it. We were near Mr and Mrs Potato Head - is that 70's or 80's building? Either way, it only took a few minutes for us to get to the food court and to the buses so it wasn't a problem. Also, we were really close to the computer swimming pool which was good also.

The only thing I didn't like was that even when the curtains in the room were open it was really dark and so we had to have the light on all the time we were in it. We'd stay there again though.
