Pop to Contemporary or Coronado?

I wouldn’t give up a stay at a moderate for being stuck at Pop 5 days! Then just 2 nights at a deluxe. I’m not a big fan of the values. Maybe if you could do a 4/3 split. And I’d pick either GF or Poly over CR. They both are beautifully themed, with nicer pools and you can have MK views at those too, or watch the fireworks from the beach
We could do a 4/3 split but it would be with a standard view at AKL or like a nature view at WL. Even a Boulder ridge studio.

I'd vote for the 4 nights Pop/3 nights WL or AKL split instead. I actually like the Contemporary, but agree with the others that 2 nights is not ideal, especially considering you'll be traveling on the other side of that second night stay. By the time you'd check in, you'd have a day and a half to really enjoy it, most likely.

WL would be preferable for the proximity to the park and seeing the Electric Water Pageant from the beach at night, if you wanted to. The suggestion to visit Fort Wilderness is a good one, too. I do think kids at that age would love AKL, though. Not sure if you'd be able to swing a savannah-view room, which is considerably more money. Of course, the boat transportation from WL to MK is worth thinking about, too. It's a lot more fun than a bus!

One other wrinkle is that the Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment from January 22-28. Not sure if that coincides with your stay at Pop, but it would be a shame to miss out on one of the main benefits of staying there.

Good luck deciding! I hope you have a great trip.
We are looking at Jan 30-Feb 6 so the sky liner should be open. We could do a 4/3 split with pop and a few other options other than CR. We could do AKL reg view, WL nature view or Boulder ridge studio.

I think Boulder Ridge is due for refurbishment, so I'd probably go with WL nature view, unless BR is considerably cheaper. WL just had a major room refurbishment, and people seem pleased with the results.

This summer we had a 5 night Yacht Club / 2 night Grand Floridian stay . We loved our room at Yacht Club so much we didn’t want to leave . As much as we love Grand Floridian it isn’t worth the money for 2 nights because you lose time on both ends .

We also have looked at 2-3 nights at yacht or beach club. They fall right in our price range too

Yea from I’ve seen they do look a bit older. I think it was a difference of like $65 a night difference from the two. WL being higher of course

Love WL. A nature view is nice and with the ages of your children the boat ride to MK is fun. You also have a resort boat that loops around WL, CR, and Ft W open up lots of opportunities. Visiting FtW is fun, checking out the stables and Trails End is a fav restaurant. Once you boat to CR you’re connected to all the monorail resorts, although I don’t know when Poly monorail construction will finish. But you could walk from TTC or GF to Poly.

If your looking for another vote, with the ages of your kids, and convenience options factor, the Pop/ WL option is great. We always do splits and all of the above suggestions for this combo have great ideas. WL is awesome great convenience for everything on that side of property. Pop is great convenience for the other side of property- even if skylines wasn’t done in time the bussing is so close to HS and Epcot. I’d do AK while there too.
