I want to get from Pop to AK for Sanaa for "Lunch with an Animal Expert". I thought I'd take the bus to AK then another bus to AKL Kidani.

The OLP WDW Transportation Wizard suggests
Bus to Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park
Transfer to Bus to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
Estimated Time: 39 minutes

Does transferring at Blizzard Beach make sense at any time of the year over transferring at Animal Kingdom? I think it wouldn't work for me because it is closed when I am going in February.

What would you suggest for Pop - AKL if I wanted to eat at Boma in the evening?

I know a taxi would be an option. What do you think that would cost?

Thanks!

My first piece of advice is to not use the OLP transportation wizard unless you are already an expert on WDW transportation.

I would not transfer at Blizzard Beach. I would transfer at DHS or AK.

You can look up cab fare at taxifarefinder.com

I have found for the many times we have stayed at POP to go to DHS to transfer anywhere. It is the closest park and easiest to transfer from.

It depends on how long you have to wait for a bus at POP and DHS. The actual travel times are about 5-10 mintues from POP to DHS and then about 15-20 minutes to Boma. Both depending on traffic of course. The biggest variable is the wait time for the buses between the stops. If you plan an hour you would be fine.

Disney recommends you allow 90 minutes to make it to your ADR using their transportation. For around $20 a taxi will save you an hour of that time. And will save you any stress you may have about just missing the bus you needed, and having to wait 20 minutes or so for the next one.

I have 7:30 am breakfast reservations at Boma. I am thinking that a taxi might be my only choice to arrive on time. Anyone think differently?

The park buses start running at 6:30am, but they run less frequently at that time. If it were me, I'd go with a taxi for sure.
