POP Room?

We will be staying at the POP in June. I would likt to stay in the 50's section and have a room facing the pool. I am taking my chances and faxing my request a few days before we leave. My question is........do I need exact room numbers or can I just explain my request like I did here? Thanks in advance.
Has anyone had success with their faxs to the POP?

No you don't need to request a particular room, just what it is you are looking for.

Twice I have faxed my requests to POP and to All Star Sports and have never had them received but as I was checking in I requested and got all my preferences.

This time when I booked the CM took my requests over the phone.

I would just explain like you did on this post, also you could ask for building 1 or 3 they are closer to bus and food court....

You also might want to call more than one time to verify that they do have the information on your reservation.

In January 05, I had to speak to three different resort CMs to get our requests added to our rooms. I was also told that they are no longer looking at fax requests from guests.

i might think twice about facing the pool. They have very bright lights that come in through the curtains as they dont shut well. Plus they play music until it closes. In March that was midnight!!!

I will call tomorrow to make sure my request is on I would love a room in the 50s , 4th floor, lake facing. How does that sound. I have read you might be able to see the high fireworks from 50. Quiet lake facing and now I need to add 1 or 3 closer to the buses. lol
Wow they wont believe this is my first time goign to disney with all these requests.

we were 4th floor in the 50's and faced the Epcot ball (which is lake facing)
and you could see Epcot and MK fireworks at night on the balcony. it was really nice.
