POP room question

I've stayed at POP a couple of times and love the 50's bldg. The only problem is we have always ended up facing the pool which can get really noisy. I'd like to request a room on the back side of the 50's bldg. 3000 which faces the lake. Does anyone know if these rooms are prefered? I don't think they are because they are quite a ways from the main bldg and bus stop, but I thought I'd ask. Thanks for the help everybody! Alo

PS If you have stayed back there previously, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I dont believe they are. I think because of the distance you mentioned above they are not, but I would call and check into it and ask to be on the back side of the building. Disney is usually quite accomodating when it comes tot hat type of thing.

They are standard.
Have stayed in that section twice and booked again for next year.
Just tell them building 3 - lake view.

Oh, and I love it there ! Not a far walk at all to the main hub or parking lot (which is important to me). Close to the bowling pin pool which we prefer. And we could watch the EPCOT and Magic Kingdom fireworks from our room. If there had been a private party at MGM we would have seen theirs too. Not all rooms will have this view, but you can walk around to a spot to see them. Quiet and peaceful !

Here is another thread where I put some pictures: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1647850
