going over Christmas(Dec 20-26) and we will be bringing 2 teenage daughters(the oldest will be 18 and a senior in HS when we travel). trying to weigh the options-pros and cons of POP or CBR. This being said, we will infact be doing 2 rooms for us-thinking a King room for DH and myself and a double room for the girls-I know it may seem like a waist to do 2 rooms, but it is what it is and night time space is a plus for us(not to mention the early morning fight for showers)

trying to see if the cost for CBR is worth the 1300 more, its been a while since we stayed at POP, I do remember liking the food choices there. the last few trips we have done the moderates-not sure what the big difference is in them other than the size of the room and maybe the noise. Hoping to get some discount, but not a must have.

My choice would be CBR. We've never stayed at any of the values, but the extra cost would be worth it to us as we loved everything about CBR.

We have stayed at POP and would pick POP over CBR every time. We just didn't really like CBR.

LOVE CBR!!!! And at Christmas, it has a special aura about it.

I love CBR!! I'm slated for Pop for my August trip, but if my tax refund is enough, I'm upgrading because I really LOVE CBR!!

I would probably pick POP over CBR :hippie:
Why?
- There will always be savings that I will gladly use to book extras.
- For you $1300 OH ABSOLUTELY would be staying at POP. Think of all the fun you can have with that money.
- Since you are getting two rooms the beds just are not an issue.
- With all adults, I don't see the CBR pool a plus (young family friendly pool).
- This time of year, you might be so busy you won't even need a pool, if so Bowling Pin pool is never crowded.
- When we stayed at CBR we always left there to eat as we weren't wowed by food options.
- POP has a decent food court and access to the AoA food court which is great, along with real plates and silverware.
- Small footprint at POP, no room is far. CBR is very large.
- Bus wise, POP is a way better option, as soon as you are on the bus you leave the resort, no other stops.
- My adult kids weren't sure about POP when I took them but they both enjoyed it.

It is really going to be whether you are comfortable with spending the extra money and how you feel about the values. I've stayed at Pop and ASSp, both for just one and two nights, just to see what they were like and I didn't want to pay deluxe prices for arrival night. I hated Pop, it was my first value and I was very disappointed. It felt like a not well kept Motel 6 to me. Then I thought, well maybe I was just being a snob since I normally stay at deluxe but had stayed at POR (my first moderate) and liked it, so I gave ASSp a chance. For just one night, again arrival night. While I didn't hate it as much as Pop, I didn't like it either and that was enough of the values for me. My trip in May, I'm doing two nights at CBR and 4 nights at Swan. Swan is actually a compromise on my part, I usually stay at BC/YC, BWI in a pinch and since we are going for F&G I wanted an Epcot resort. I could just get a better deal at Swan so we are trying it.
