POP or CBR

I am thinking of surprising my daughter with a trip to Disney right after she gets home from college this summer. We have stayed at ASMU, POP, POR, and POLY and our favorite is POR, runner up would be POP; however POR is not available. Since this is an unplanned trip, I am trying to cut corners with the cost. I am trying to decide between a Preferred room at POP or a standard room at CBR (where we have never been). I am thinking she would probably like CBR better but am concerned with the location of the room we might get assigned to. Please help!

CBR is our favorite resort, so my vote is for that. I just love the tropical theme and how peaceful/relaxing it is. Even at full capacity, it does not feel like it. As long as you're not booking a Pirate Themed room, you won't be too far from OPR and the main pool. If you request a room in Jamaica 45 or Aruba 51 you will have a 5 minute walk over to OPR and the main pool.

We have been there many times and enjoy it over the mods because of its theme, style, modern rooms, etc.. It has an energy to it that is great. The pools are nice and the food court has good service and meals. The shopping is also very good. The buses to/from the parks arrive about every 15 minutes and takes about that much to get to MK,Epcot or HS. AK is a little longer depending on traffic. Either way, have fun!

We really enjoy CBR. The caribbean atmosphere, music, landscaping, beaches with hammocks and the main pool area and bar is awesome! I think you both will really enjoy the relaxing feel at this hotel. Like previous post as long as you dont stay in the pirate rooms you will be fine, even with those rooms being the futherest from the main pool area is only a 6-8 min walk so any other island will be within a 5 min walk and the landscaping is so beautiful to look at!

Choose CBR if you have never stayed there We wanted POR for our June trip but it is not available during our week. We chose CBR. We stayed there in June 2007 & loved it! Since the main pool & the rooms have been renovated. Check out a CBR map & request a building. I have requested bldg #46 or #45 Jamaica & building #53 or #51 Aruba. We had bldg #44 Jamaica in 2007. It wasn't a bad location at all. So excited for June

We've stayed at both and I would lean towards POP, you can't beat the price. You don't mention the age of your daughter, but one thing that I think is good about CBR is the zero entry pool...we did not get to use it when we stayed there last year because it wasn't warm enough, but I think it looked nice. I think if we had to chose between the two though, we'd chose POP. We thought it was a better overall value. Good luck choosing!

For me, Pop beats CBR slightly. If CBR had queen beds, I would go with that but it doesn't. Everything seems pretty equal so I would go with the cheaper option!

We have never stayed at CBR (we stay at a different moderate), but I would always pick a moderate over a value. The values are too crowded and loud for our vacation style.
