Does anyone know what the likelihood of getting a requested King size Bed is? It is just my DH and I and we really would prefer to have a King instead of the two doubles. Just to small in my opinion for two adults. Anyone either have good luck with this request or denied it.

I've stayed at Pop twice and the first time (only for 2 nights) I received one (handicapped acessible room) and the second time staying 8 nights preferred room I was out of luck. Its just the luck of the draw IMHO.
Good Luck!:goodvibes

We have requested a king bedroom each time we have stayed at Pop and gotten it. If you put in a request for one I think your chances are good of getting one as long as you request it ahead of time.....:thumbsup2

We have requested a King size bed everytime we've stayed at POP and NEVER gotten it. Always ended up with 2 doubles & we were celebrating our wedding anniversaries both times so it really stunk!! Good luck getting one..................... We just stayed at the WL this past week & didn't request a King & were pleasantly surprised to receive one. Loved being spoiled!! :cutie:

also, if you are going at a slower time of year, you have a better chance of receiving your request for a king room.

I had a king room last August, and it was really nice. 50's bldg top floor, bldg 1.

I requested one for our upcoming stay, since it's DH and I's first trip without family or friends in eight years! If we can't get a king, I'm going to request a lakeside/Epcot view room. Here's hoping for the king bed!

If you're interested in upgrading to a moderate, you can book King rooms for a few dollars extra. The King rooms are often the corner rooms, too, so you get two windows and a lot of light and it makes the room feel larger, IMO.

In January, our AP/FL resident rate at the mods was $99/night for a regular room, $115/night for the king room. Worth it! :)

I've stayed at Pop at least 20 times and have only gottent he King room about 50% of the time. Somes HA rooms and some not. If you are flexible and are willing to take a HA room, then your chances are better. I like having a bathtub, so that often decreases mychances.

I was there in Sept 07 and requested King which I received. The king beds are usually for the handicapped rooms which then don't have a tub just a shower where the floor is level with the rest of the bathroom (no separation)and just a shower curtain. The bathroom door is a slider doesn't lock. I am going again in Sept 08 and have decided not to request a king.

For our trip that we just got back from, we got a king-sized bed even though we arrived after midnight and didn't request one! We also got a mini-fridge without requesting it. So we ended up with two fridges because we had done the Pop Century fridge swap! :rotfl: I do have to say, I really disliked the HA shower though. I like a barrier to stop the water from going all over the floor. Oh well, the bed sure made up for it!
