Pop kids menu a joke?

Honestly that kids menu is better than most of the ones in the parks.. If your son would like something else I am sure it can be arranged or worst case senario pay for it OOP..

No were not. It's just for the dinner on the day we arrive, the lunch the day we leave. Then I have 1 day where we just take and easy and hang out at the pool untill 5p.m. ADR's and another day where we are taking a day to go to chef micky's, than back to the hotel to relax untill 6p.m. ADR's in ddt . So even though all these other places to eat sound great leaving the hotel kinda of defeats the purpose of taking mornings to relax.
I'm also looking at the cs places I picked in the parks and I'm dissapointed. Like in epcot the Uk- Dh & I will have yummy fish and I have to make the kids eat pb&J. Or at the columbia house again we have yummy fish and they have to have chilled chicken. I quess I have some re planning to do. I hate to have to re plan around food choices for the kids.

This is one of the two reasons we passed on the DP.

My kids will be happy eating nuggets and fries or salmon and rice. I'd rather they eat the salmon and rice so not having the DP allows me to buy them an adult menu item to share without having to worry about how much extra money I have spent. My kids are good eaters at 3 and 4.5, but they can easily share an adult meal, many times they share a childs meal (like at Claim Jumper where the portions are huge, even for a kids meal). I have found plenty of non-fried kids items as well, like wraps, baked/rotisserie chicken and mashed potatoes. Even sandwiches from the bakeries are good options for my kids.

The day you arrive, you could order pizza delivery to your room (Papa John's or something NOT the Pop kind- it's not good) Then you'd have some extra credits to use and the kids could order whatever they want at Pop the other day.

Also, for breakfasts, you can pick up pastries or danishes the evening before and store them in an airtight container to eat the next morning. And if you're eating CS, just print out some menus, let the kids pick what they'd like and use their CS credits there, then stop by a more "adult" CS place like Yorkshire County, get your stuff and then find a nearby table or bench to eat together- stuff you all like. :) We often had to do this w/ my little cousin when we went to WDW. She was very picky and we all wanted to try different things. :)

Good luck!

It sounds like maybe the dinning plan isn't for you. Maybe you should forget the dinning plan and pay OOP for all of your meals. That way you can order the kids whatever they want, kids meals if they want and adult meals if they want. We are going in January and taking our niece for 14 days. I compaired what the dinning plan would cost with what I predicted our meals would cost without the dinning plan and the amounts were so close we chose to do without the dinning plan so we had more flexibility.

I wish we could get the ddp for dh and I and not for the kids. For me having the ddp is such a luxury for I am always counting in my head how much we are spending and how much we have left. If we have the ddp my brain calculator could stay home for the trip. :) This would also be a treat for my DH for I don't like spending money on food and he loves to and I think sometimes he feels guilty by the time our bill comes. Dh is not that excited about the whole trip ( don't get me wrong he's happy to do this as a family, but he won't he'll catch the magic untill we get there :thumbsup2 ) So The food is a big part of the trip to him. But now I'm sure I would have gotten the ddp if I knew the "rules' were going to change. Oh well.
