This is our first trip staying at two resorts. How in the world does this work? Can someone please walk us through the process? I am mainly concerned with transportation ( how to get there ). We will not have a car or rental car.

Thank you all for the help. :sunny:

What I do is call bellservices, they pick up the bags, I usually keep out bathingsuits, coverups, and ponchos or umbrellas(and put these items in a backpack or shoulder bag). I am not sure how bell services workes at POP, but I am sure you will handle it. Then what we do is take our bag on with us to what ever park we are going to spend the morning at(or the pool). If at a park, I check it into a locker. Then at about 1pm we head over to our new resort, to check in. If our room isn't ready we have lunch or go to the pool.

When we switch, we are usually told what time our bags will be there. If you have cold items besure to pack them seperatly and make bell services aware. I find it very easy...just a little planning for what you need during the day, since you might not have access to your bags for several hours.

As far as transportation goes, you go from POP to a park, then when leaving get on the OKW bus. If you want to do directly to OKW I would go to closest park or DTD and get on the OKW bus there. Hope this helps.

Several people (including me) have had their luggage misplaced by WDW when letting them move it. I'd take a cab from Pop to OKW--it should cost under $10 plus tip, and check the bags with bell servies at OKW--that way you KNOW where they are.

After moving from one resort to another several times now...I have to say that in the future I will take my own stuff and go via a cab. I have been told by bell services to expect my bags between 1:00 and 3:00. I have waited, in every instance, over 3 hrs past that time frame. So, I'll just take a cab to the new resort and lug my stuff with me. Even if it costs $10...you will have had to pay the bell person a buck a bag...I usually overtip and give them a $5 bill for 3 bags. So, I would end up saving that tip by taking a cab, so the cab would only really cost $5.

You could take a Disney bus to a theme park best along the route and transfer to another Disney bus to the second resort.

If you used Magical Express from the airport, it is a no-brainer to modify the return trip back to the airport while you are at the second resort (at least a day before checkout).

I second (or third) the idea of getting a cab. The low price you pay for convenience will more than make up for the time you would have lost dragging luggage into a park, PAYING for a locker and the dragging it back to the new resort on a bus.

The $10.00 it will cost is nothing for the convenience, trust me! It's hard enough carrying a purse into a park let alone a hotel room's worth of stuff.

BTW, we did a split @ POP @ OKW in Oct. and are doing it again in May. I LOVE OKW and POP was very nice too. If in your budget, I would suggest renting a car @ OKW, it will make your "running around" a lot easier.

Have fun!!!!

A cab would definitely be the way to go. You could complete the move in less than an hour from start to finish. :earseek:
