POP FD Visa???

I will be very sad if I can't book the Pop...so sad that I may just cancel trip altogether.
Not sure why Bonuceback, UK, And Canada could book pop but we can't...very sad.

It's likely due to all the people who booked Pop erroneously thinking that they could just "apply" free dining once it came out. Now Pop is booked up enough for those dates that they don't need to offer the promotion there...

That is why it is a bad idea to "pre-book" your resort in hopes of a discount coming out. If you are going to stay at that resort for those dates regardless, then fine, but if you are hoping for a discount and can only go if you get one, booking in advance can (and will, as seen here) end up hurting you.

this morning I was quoted a price for FD at Pop from 8/26 - 9/1, but ended up booking POFQ instead. My DD tried to get FD promo applied to her existing reservation at Pop from 9/12 - 9/18 and could not. She had to switch to All Star Sports. I wonder if it's just September dates at Pop are not available??

My TA said the same thing...small pickins' on the Pop rooms.

We have to wait until the 5th, but with all the Visa cardholders trying PLUS of regulars trying, might be hard..........oh well......might have to stay at POFQ, dear me

Hubby not to happy, Pop is his favorite, but he said, go mod if we can't get Pop!!

I just called and the man told me at first that only Sports was available. He then asked if I had really been over 50 times and then did some pecking on the computer. He came back with preferred rooms at Pop, plus standard rooms at all the All Stars for free dining....

So I think I would call again guys, looks like they opened up.

I called right after you posted this and once again was told it kept switcing to Sports. No POP or anything other All Stars. Bummer! I've called 3x today. Really want POP. Standard room also...don't want preferred. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

If you really want Pop, keep trying. My husband was on the phone for over an hour yesterday and spoke to several people, but they were finally able to get us at Pop with the ugrading in dining. I really didn't believe it happened, but I checked the emails and everything is a go.

I had previously booked my trip 8/22-9/1 at POP. When FD was announced yesterday, I called to change to FD (took an hour) but I got POP preferred (only option) and changed my dates to 8/25-9/2.

We were originally booked for POP and praying for free dining to come out! After getting my FD code for Visa members yesterday I called to try to apply that code to my pre existing reservation and they too told me that it was sold out. I changed my reservation to All Star Sports because that was the only resort that had availability with FD. I'm hoping to get through on Monday morning early and crossing my fingers that I can switch my room back to POP, as it is our favorite resort.

I saw someone on here who had booked a room at POP but it was a preferred room not a regular. In any case I think the rooms they did have with this promo code at POP were VERY limited. Hoping more open up, and that I can be a lucky caller on Monday morning! If I can't get a room at POP, All Star Sports it is!!

Yeah, I'm going to call first thing Monday morning as well. I've now read where 2 or 3 people have got POP. I saw the same thing you did with the one saying only preferred. That's an extra $105 that we'd rather not pay for. We actually prefer the 50's section so really hoping they open up some more rooms Monday. I don't see how they can have this promo going on til May and only have Sports available for a value. Many people are going to be upset if more don't open up. It's frustrating because I convinced 2 other families to go with us hoping for the free dining and one of the families are first time visitors. I want this to work out for them.

I got two preferred rooms at POP this morning with FD. I wanted standard, but the CM said these were the last two rooms available. I'll wait and call back Monday to see if any more open up so I can switch and save $$. I didn't give any resort preferences when I called - just mentioned that we wanted value resorts, and that is what popped up.

Our TA got us preferred Pop reservations today for the VISA FD.

I booked through TA - POP from Aug 26 to Sept 1st FD standard room for 2 adults and two kids with 7 day MYW base tickets. Cost $1,762. Had no trouble getting POP.
