We're going to be staying at Pop in a King room. We'll have a scooter with us. Do ALL of the buildings have elevators?

Do I need to reserve an accessible room? We only need to be able to bring the scooter into the room. We don't need a roll in shower, or any other accessibility options.

Thanks in advance! :)

All buildings do have elevators. I would get an accessible room only for the extra room. Pop's rooms are a little on the small side.

Yes, all of the buildings have elevators.

IME, whether you need an accessible room or not depends on how many people you're traveling with. When my partner and I travel with my electric wheelchair, we don't get an accessible room because I don't need the accessible bathroom options. However, if we were traveling with more people - kids etc. - I would be worried about it being too cramped with the chair in there. That said, I don't know whether the ADA rooms at Pop are actually larger than the non-ADA rooms, so I would defer to someone else's experience there. It's hard to tell from the video, and I haven't stayed there post-renovation.

Thank you! We ended up reserving an accessible room, as that way we can ensure getting a king bed rather than two queens.
Thanks!! :)

I am checking in tomorrow with a scooter. I didn't book an accessible room but I did put in a request for 1st floor! Hopefully I will get it. I think that will be easier than dealing with the elevator all the time!

Actually this really isn't a huge issue since one queen can stay up and be used as a table allowing for more room.

I don't believe the accessible rooms at POP are bigger than a non-accessible room. If anything, due to the larger footprint of the bathroom (which is not a split bath) there is less footage in the bedroom area.

No guarantee on the king. POP has accessible 2-queen rooms now with the murphy bed unless you booked a king accessible room. If you need the accommodations, that's fine; but please be aware if booking an accessible room you don't need may mean someone else is completely unable to go because they can't use a typical room.

Good decision, I think. ... And remember, because of the murphy bed, you can’t move the table around. It’s been a few years since I was there, and I wasn’t with anyone who needed a scooter, but there might be less room to maneuver.

When my grandson and I hsve gone we stay in a standard room. Even with the Murphy bed down there is room for my ecv to park. To piggyback on lanejudy, you might be taking a room away from someone who otherwise can’t go to Disney because they do need the accessibility features. A standard room, even with the Murphy bed had room for the ecv.

Size wise the only difference in size we have noticed when we switched to using an accessible room this year since my problems have gone beyond basic mobility is that the door is flat rather than sat in at an angle. This does give a bit more space by the door and we were able to comfortably have both scooters in the room even when my pain issues forced us to use both beds instead of just one.

I have used a scooter two times at Pop. One king room and one queen room. No problems with the scooter inside the room. We park it over to the side and have room to get around/ recharge it.
