POP Dec 17th thru the 24th

I will be posting all days in this thread. Overall we loved this resort and WDW wasnt tht crowded we used fast pass and never really waited in long lines. I had a few small issues here and there but they were always corrected and quickly. I have tosay people need to stop and calm down I some people were rude, pushy and im sorry just ridiculous. But overall it was an amazing trip. We love WDW and are planning our next trip.


Saturday December 17th

Me DW 31 wife and obsessive WDW nut
DH 30 likes WDW and hates to admit it, thinks the DIS is a cult
DS 6 loves WDW and couldnt wait to go 2nd trip
DS 22 months 1st trip

We had a flight outta Logan at 850am DH was very nervous. We had checked in the night before and had our boarding passes all set and the Magical Express tags on everything. We got thru security with no problem. We settled in and waited the hour til boarding. We had bought ds22 months a ticket so we had his car seat ( we also rented a car) I didtn wanna hold him for that long, I knew he never would have sat still. At 820 we were told we could board. I was so excited but also nervous. I was very nervous but DH was worse. We boarded me and the baby were sitting to gether and DH and ds 6 right behind us. Dh taps me on the shoulder and says he is to scared to fly and wants to get off the plane. I knew he was nervous but not that bad. I told him to sit back and relax. 5 min later the same thing. DH tells me to go alone with the kids and he will stay home. I told him to stop take a few deep breathes and once we got in the air he would be fine.

Well he was fine once he was in the air. It was very stressful though. He scared me alot and I told him if he had told me he was that nervous we could gotten there another way. Hr flew home with no incidents.

We arrived and took Magical Express to POP, I checked us into room 1427. It was in teh 50s section by lady and the tramp. The room was clean and neat we had no issues. Within 10 min the crib was delivered. The fridge the next day for my sons ear medicine. I went down and confirmed my ADR's for the week as we had the dining plan. There were a few issues but we got them straighten out, the guy was not very good at guest services but it all worked out.
We had decided to rent a car as I didnt wanna chance buses with the baby and having to hold him standing on a bus. The one day we used buses this happened, DH was holding Ds22 he was the last to board the bus. so he was right next to the driver holding the baby. We had decided to get off as we didtn think it would be safe but the driver pulled and away and said she couldnt stop. THe bus was turning and it was really hard to controll the baby while holding on. No one offered to get up or give there seat to DH. At point DH almost fell over and I had to grab the baby, or he would have gotten hurt. Still no one offered to get up the seat at the fromt were all filled with late teens and their parents. Finally a woman says oh here take my seat as we pull into POP I was like whatever.

Anyway Chris was picked up at POP and went and got the car at the AAA center it took less than 30 min to get well worht it. We saved hundreds of dollars going this route. I loved having car especially at the end of the night.

We went to the MK and had a great night. We went to Pecos bill had dinner and then off to ride some rides. We took out time. I got a length of stay stroller pass for the week.

The tree was great! Dh actually thought I bought since it and the ornaments all came wrapped up and the tree still said made in china on it. LOL
the tree was awesome the kids loved it. Thanks again for leaving it.
I tried to call you to sunday a.m but we went to donalds breakfast at akl and were there by 745a.m. and I could not get a signal at all.
Thanks again for leaving the tree, we donated it to the next family that took the room we were in.

I used to have the same problem flying. I spoke to my doctor about it, and he gave me something to take. It relaxed me quite a bit.

Back to the actin if thats what you wanna call it.

We finish out the night hitting a bunch of rides at MK. It was open til midnight but we didnt stay that late. Its been a long day and we have Donalds breakfast reservations at 830a.m. DS6 is sooo excited for this and he has talked about it for months.


Sunday the 18th, 2005

We awake and are all out of the room and down to the bus by 730 theres is one there direct to AK for the breakfast, we grab it. THere are 5 other people on it. We learned from this board that you had to take the bus to AK so that you could get in. Because of this we didtn take the rent a car, well of course you know what this means people with cars also got were able to get in. We were checked in BEFORE going into the park. After confirmimg our reservation we went it took some pics and we were called quickly. The food was pretty good, esp the breakfast pizza! The characters were great. We got some great pics and the charater interaction was fabulous. Dh and I didtn eat that much, but enough that we never had ,unch. We were on the dining plan and the bill was over $75. After that we hit dinosaur I walked on and then got fast passes for later. We then hit tough to be a bug, we walked all over the place and had a great day. We skipped lunch but fed the boys. We rode a couple things again. We took in all the shows and even met a character or to. We also saw the jungle parade and I love the parades. It was great it was on its way BACK so the crowds were alot smaller. We were able to get some great pics and alot of character high fives. Monday was the one night we didtn have a PS/ADR anywhere so I called and made one at Cape May Cafe for 720pm. We finshed up at AK and took thebus back to Pop. This is where we had the baby holding incident that I sopke of in the 1st day. We never took the buses anywhere after this. We got back to POP I refilled the mugs and we cleaned up alittle and changed everyone into pants. We took the car over to the beach club and went it. The horse carosuel was noce but I wasnt that impressed with the lobby at all. We checked into cape may and waited about 15min. Then we sat down the food was very good. I had several small pieces of the salmon. We all ate and well. The bill was $75 again and we used 6 TS todays between this and the breakfast. Neither places charged us for DS22 months we ate whatever he wanted and that was it. We only had to pay for his drink if we ordered one so we always got one before we left Pop if we could.
After this we went back to the room everyone clean up and went to bed.
Tomorrow we are going to MK and early. I have a plan to do ALL fantasyland rides in the a.m.
Will I get it done?

How did you like POP?

Glad you all liked the tree. Originally it was to have gone to another DISer who was to have been at WL with us later in our trip, but she moved to a different resort and you all benefitted from it

We like POP just fine. Since we get two rooms, the amount of space is not a problem for 4 adults traveling together. We LOVED Wilderness Lodge though. It is right up there with our favorites now. Keep the trip report coming, Kelly.
