O.K. after reading most of the threads about the Pop and noticing that many would not spend the extra money on the preferred section I'm alittle leary to ask this question.........My family will be staying at the Pop and we will be in the 60's section, my question is.......Does anyone know the numbers of the rooms closest to and facing the pool. the 1st or 2nd floor preferably! Yes I'm probably the only one looking to be in the middle of the action, but hey your in Disney!!

I'm going to try to help you.
The 2 buildings that are in the 60"s perferred section are building 4 on your right when walking out of the sliding doors from the lobby. (You would be looking at the pool) and building 5 is the one on the left.

I know the room numbers are like this..

41XX =the 4 means building 4, the 1 means first floor (if you had second floor it would be a 2 and third would be 3 etc...
the last two numbers are the actual room number.
Lets talk about building 4 first. The rooms that face the pool start 01-12 and then again 61-72. The buidings are shaped in a t shape. Here comes an example...
12- ---------- 01 ---- 72-------------61
XXXXXXXXXXXX-----XXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXX----- XXXXXXXXXXXX
13------------ 24 X X 49------------ 60
....................... X .X
....................25 X. X48
.........................X .X
........................ X .X
........................ X .X
........................ X .X
.........................X .X
.........................X .X
.........................X .X
.................. 36- X .X -37

sorry about all the little dots I could not get the T to line up right.

so you would want room number 1-12 or 61-72.
Building 4 first floor would be 41XX

in building 4, 1-12 is closest to food court in building 5 is it is room 61-72. I hope that helps and you can understand it. I was just there about 7 days ago and still have my map of the grounds and buildings. Let me know if you need anything else.

Just to let you know, there are 9 standard double rooms that are non-smoking 1st floor, pool view in preferred. They are VERY hard to get. 2nd floor is a bit easier to get.

Just a fore warning though -- the pools do tend to be noisy at night, so if you're a light sleeper, I might recommend a room that is either higher up, or on the backside of the building.

Thank you for all your HELP Lori!!! The diagram was very helpful. Thanks Tyler ! It's nice to here from such a well known CM. We are looking forward to staying at the Pop (thanks to you mostly) and the want to be right in the middle of the action!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
