We got reservations at the Pop for April 3-7 in the 50's area!!!! Comments about the hotel or 50's section??

Just so you know, unless you book Preferred (1960s) you are not guaranteed any decade. You can request it, by all means... but it's not guaranteed.

according to the lady we booked with..she said is there a certant decade you would like and we said 50's .my mom told me we are "guaranteed"

*sigh* This is why I never liked CRO. At any rate, I used to work Pop Century front desk... so I know it's not guaranteed, no matter what they tell you. The good thing though, is that since the 50's has three buildings, you still have a great chance of getting it

No it's not guaranteed, just a request. We stayed in the 50's section in Dec. and it was very nice! We had a pool view but had to change rooms because we were put in a handicapped/accessible room which wouldn't work for us because we needed a tub. We ended up in a lake view room, the closest room to the elevator, which was nice. I'm so glad we changed because the cheerleaders and footballers were in town that week and the pool was very loud. On the lake side, it is very very quiet. The place was packed but we didn't even know we had neighbors because it was sooooo nice and quiet

Our building was only a short walk from the main building (Classic Hall) with the food court, gift shop, registration, etc. The bus stop was equally easy to get to, you just walk straight through the center of Classic Hall, out the door and to the right and they're right there. It's a well set-up resort though, so even if you end up in one of the other decades it should be a relatively short walk to the buses and Classic Hall.
