Pop Century

Has anybody else made ressies for Pop Century? We made one for Jan 8-16 2004. I thought it would be neat to stay at a new resort. We satyed at ASMo when they had been open for about a year, and I thought they were very nice and clean. After my last stay at a Moderate (POR June '02) I did not feel that extra $$ was worth it. Oh well, any other DISfanatics going around that time and staying at Pop Century?

We will try Pop Century also...just wanted to say we agree with you. Between a value and a moderate resort...we will choose the value every time. We didn't find any value at all in the moderates, and we have tried them all.

We're definitely moderate folks (stayed at CBR for $79 a night this summer), but are trying out Pop Century for Christmas. We're definitely looking forward to our stay - especially since it will be 14 days old!

We'll see you there! We have reservations for Jan 6 - 9 and then we're moving to the Dolphin for Jan 9 - 13. The first couple days we're at the parks non-stop and only need a room to sleep in. Last year we tried ASMo for the first time and were pleasantly surprised (especially for $55 per night). In fact, in some ways we felt we got more bang for the buck there than at AKL, where we stayed for the second half of the trip.

DH has a conference during the second half of the trip. While he is doing that, the kids and I tend to do more around the resort, so I prefer a nicer resort for the last part--plus it doesn't hurt that work is picking up the tab, either!

So anyway, we're excited to stay at Pop Century. Maybe we'll run into you.

Somehow I got ressies for opening day. 2 rooms very cheap! I didn;t make the ressies that long ago either about a month ago. Although, Im wondering if being there that day maybe a disadvantage. Either way I think it will be nice hoping some characters will be there and possibly some festivities. I just posted a thread. I was wondering if I could get a map of POP prior to the 14 th. anyone know?

I just changed our reservation today to Pop Century. We are going Jan 17-23.

We will be checking in on Dec 27th staying until Jan 1st. We missed the discounts and are paying rack holiday rates. Can't wait. Its fun to stay at newly opened resorts.

I'm planning to be there during the same time, my birthday is the 17th.

I can't wait to see the new resort.
