Is this hotel allowed for the wedding discounts? If not, does anyone know the reasoning?

no, it is not set up for convention discount rates which is what the wedding room blocks technically count as. poo poo to them. pop century rocks!

hmm... I have pop as one of my group hotel
The reasoning why they didn't put it on the list is because they can't guarantee the group will be staying together because they don't have group department (like Caryn said). Group dept is the one who assigns the hotel rooms for large ressies before the other guests arrives.
But when I told my coordinator that I didn't care she said no prob. Put that on the list with the same price as all AS resort.

this is aggravating because #1. i asked to have that included several times and was told NO. 2. my guests were all over the place at all star movies, so what's the difference?

hmm... another example of disney's different policies... how strange...
Our coordinator didn't even blink an eye and said yep, if you don't care just put it on there...
We didn't want to do AS because of the multiple bus stops.

it wasn't my planner, it was the sales manager who sets up the room blocks.
