I will possibly be making ressies for Pop Century for May. Will we (40 and 50+ ages) fun loving women enjoy it? She likes to get a deal so I thought this hotel would suit her price wise. Where is the best spot to stay that is more on the quiet side, are there free fridges in the value resorts? What is the food like?? Any info will be helpful. TIA

My sister and I stayed at PC a few nights last March. The room was fine for the 2 of us. I did think it was a little larger than AS. We were in the 80's non-smoking building facing the parking lot. The room was quiet and we slept well. We ate in the food court once and what we had was fine. The buses were crowded in the mornings and in the evenings when returning to the resort. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

I think you two will love it there! DS and I went in October and for the two of us we had plenty of room and thought the resort was really cute! A favorite quiet area is the fifties area, facing the lake. Fridges can be rented at the value resorts for 10.65 a day. http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm#res has menus for all of the resorts, including Pop.

Have a great time!

Gabby and I loved POP when we were there for the week that it opened in 2003. The rooms are the same size as the rooms at the All Stars, but I swear, the rooms feel bigger. There is a cocktail bar onsite, unlike the All Stars, which might be a bonus for you. We enjoyed all the pop culture stuff. I plan on staying there again later this year. (I love being able to say "later this year"!!!) Maggie

We loved Pop Century when we went in 2003 for Christmas. It was so fun to see the items on display at the registration area (things from my childhood). We really liked it, and I would happy to stay there again.

I think you will enjoy it.

when we stay over a night and the values are $79.00 or less, we use POP. it's in a lot better shape than the all-stars, and we always ask for the 80's block as well. it's the most quiet we've found. also, POP has dedicated disney transportation, where the all-stars' stop at all three. but since we drive over, we also like the fact it's close to I-4 and 192. since we open and close the parks, it suits our needs nicely, we've never had a bad stay.

Yes, I can say you'll love it! My friend and I (ages 55 &56) stayed last Feb for 4 nights and in december I stayed with another friend (37) for 5 nights - both times we loved the POP. It's great value for money spent (esp with a discount) and if you get a lake view (building 2 or 3 has great lake views) it does not feel like a value resort.

The rooms are comfy, enough room for 2, enough drawer space (unless you
are very heavy packers!), room to store luggage etc.

The POP has an indoor Lounge as well as an outdoor Poor Bar - both are nice enough & cute. Both times I had a lake view in the 50's and could see fireworks and Illuminations - no noise from other guests. I would request a 4th fl lake view if quiet is important. 4 min walk to Everything POP, check-in and food court.

Bus service is great - no stops besides POP to the Parks. Food court good enough (no sit down rest) for a meal now and then. My favorite breakfast is at MGM anyway!

Any questions feel free to pm or email anytime! Have a great time!! Be sure to walk around the resort along the lake and walk Generation Gap Bridge as well..it is pretty and fun!
