We are currently booked at Pop Century and I have requested 50s building facing the lake. Can anyone tell me if the lake is pretty or not? Also, I have read that you can see some of the fireworks from that building. I will ask for 4th floor when I fax our request but wondered if it was even worth it.

It's a lake, I don't know if I could say that it is beautiful. It's nice to look at. I am not sure about the fireworks, I know that you can hear them and maybe see them slightly.

Have a great time, I think you will love PC.

BTW, we stayed in the 90's and the 60's section. Loved both, but preferred the 90's section as it was much quieter.

When my mother stayed, she had a 2nd floor Epcot & lake view room in the 50's, and she could see the fireworks. It was a nice view... she enjoyed it.

We got back last week from Pop Century. We had a 50s ground floor room. (3115 on the back side of the Tramp building, to be exact.) I loved overlooking the lake! It was much calmer than a pool view would have been. And one night I could hear the fireworks from Illuminations when I stepped out of our room. I walked up a path a little ways and could see the higher level fireworks.

Now, on the other side of the lake you can see the unfinished PC buildings from the legendary years. They are very stark-looking, so I wouldn't exactly call them nice to look at. But overall I still enjoyed our lake view. :)

If you're on an upper floor of some of the buildings, you can totally see the Illuminations fireworks. They were much closer than what I'd have thought.

Also, we saw 2 baby alligators in the lake about 10 feet from the edge. They were about a foot long. Wonder where Mom and Dad were? Don't walk too close to the bushes...

We just got back on the 25th. I requested a room in the 50's with a lake view also. We were in room 3423?? I think. I was wonderful! It was the second room from the elevators on the 4th floor of the Tramp building. We never had a problem with noise and enjoyed our view!!

Have a WONDERFUL trip!
Kayla
