Oh my, she sounds like a pretty good sport. My daughters would not be so easy going about it.

My daughter would be irate. I swear...she is 10 going on 16.

She was a bit sad that her name was no longer on the band, but as long as it's still pink, she'll be okay.

booked our room for next Friday on Tuesday, ordered the magic bands but they are still saying Customized (green check next to it) and will be shipped to address or resort. I confirmed the address before I customized them but they haven't shipped. Our ones for Yacht booked an hour after POP ones arrived yesterday.

Is anyone else getting a customized message and no bands shipped? Is it possible they will end up at the resort or we will just get grey ones?

From what was mentioned on the DIS podcast, you will be issued ONE set of magic bands and they are to be used repeatily for the next two years.

Does anyone know the current and/or future (like 65 days from now) fridge situation at POP? We are staying at POR but my SIL and BIL are staying at POP and I was hoping to get them some info. LOL That's what brought me over here to begin with and I got sidetracked!

We check in 9/25 and got the letter from Disney saying that we won't have a fridge. Hopefully they will be replaced by the time you are there.

You've got to be kidding me! They don't ship to any international address. This country is so quick to sue over anything. Not shipping internationally is not discriminatory.

You just get the regular KTTW card when you check in on top of your MB.

I was just happy my name fit, 9 letters...that was the limit so I was happy to just barely make it

I found out about the limit when I went to customize my family's MB. Mine and DH's showed our names, but DD's was blank. Her name is 10 letters. Make me glad that she has a nickname that is only 4 letters. Then DH wanted his middle name (what he goes by) so I typed in theirs. Noticed mine was the only one in all caps, so I changed it to match.

I still wish the rumor of purple bands had been true, that is my favorite color, instead I get pink. DH has green and DD has blue (their favorite colors).

Now to wait the 3 more days till the get shipped.

We are checking in 9/27 and leaving 10/3. I have seen others mention a Dis pin to tell other Dis members, can someone tell me what that is?

Does it make a difference (as far as problems with the fp+ or any other issues) if I make my reservations online or over the phone with a cm?

we were able to customize our magicbands last night, after i signed in once earlier in the day and wasn't able to... decided to look again, and bam there it was! i got pink and my friend got red. we get to check in online on thursday, and finally get there 10/28! we're so excited, this is her first time back to disney in 20 years and i can't wait to show her everything i've come to love.

For those of you checking in within the next week or two, have you done online check in or called in your room request? (If you have preferences that is) Just wondering if I should do that or just see what we get once we arrive.

I heard the entire 70's section will be closed for refurbishments for the time when we check in and that's what we wanted so now it really doesn't matter much.

Ours too! I, of course, had to put mine on to start getting used to wearing it. We've never done a window before, but we're setting up our Owner's Locker this trip. I think that's a perfect excuse to pull out my new Mickey font cartridge for the cricut and the laminator

Wow, that's awesome! I'm sad because a lot of our first two days this trip won't be WDW focused (we're doing the Color Run Sunday morning), but that was how I justified staying the 8 days!

I'm in Canada too! Arriving the same day What is odd is they sent our ME tags UPS, so why not send the Magic Bands too.

My understanding (which could be totally wrong) is that it has to do with the patents on some of the RFID stuff and that you're not allowed to export them. So they can't send the bands out if the US

Canadian arriving sept 25th! I read a theory that radio frequency chips in the bands prevent them from being able to ship outside of the states. Can't remember where I read it but seems as good a reason as any I guess...

Hehehe! Lots of Canadians that week from the sound of it. We're Canadian, but live in NY now. Best of both worlds!
