Anyone at Pop right with the old fridge yet? I'm really hoping the replacement is done before we arrive...16 more days! :cool1:

Hey guys! My husband and I will be celebrating our 4th anniversary at Pop starting Oct 17!!! We've stayed there multiple times before, but never had a need/want for a bottle of champagne. Does anybody know what's available in EverythingPop and if it can be sent to your room?

Great question. I really don't know the answer, but this thread moves so fast I thought I would repost in it case somebody does have an answer for you.

I have seen beer and wine in the food court, but have never noticed champagne. I have also never heard of the resort bringing anything like that to your room; doesn't mean it doesn't happen...

Maybe you could try calling Pop directly if you don't get an answer.

We had a roach in our room at POFQ on the third floor - we tried to kill it but it escaped behind the TV center, so we told the front desk. They insisted it was probably "something similar to a roach" and that there was no need to spray the room etc. But I'm from SC and I know a roach when I see one!

17 days til we check into Pop - soooo excited!!

I used to live in Louisiana and first time I saw one of these roaches (which I think is referred to as a palmetto) I tried to kill it ... until it launched and flew several feet!!! I don't like those things. But they are a warm weather critter so comes with the territory. I hate those giant centipedes worse. They actually bite! (Haven't seen those at Disney just other parts of FL)

Can we talk about bunnies or something? Haha :)

Ahhhhh!!!!!!! Sorry....too excited needed to "scream"....22 more days until we're at POP!!!!woohoooooooooo!!!!! :)

I'm with you!! The poor person asking her bug question has probably had to take a sedative by now ;).

In other news, 39 more days!!!

I am anxiously awaiting our Mickey Mail!

I want to order PP+. I still have time, right? We have that and our MVMCP tickets left to purchase (waiting til we get as close as we can to our arrival date so we can monitor the weather).

Will be staying at the POP for the first time in August. So nice to read so many nice things about this resort. We are excited to have two rooms with 2 bathrooms and 2 TV's, it will make things a little easier for the 5 of us. :thumbsup2

At the Festival Center for Food & Wine, there's an area where they sell wine, beer and liquor. They should have champagne since they sell everything offered at F&W and there's the champagne kiosk in the World Showcase. You might also find champagne in the French Pavilion and sparkling wine in Italy's Pavilion.

I know there's beer & wine available in the gift shops at all the resorts but I don't remember seeing champagne anywhere.

Thanks to both of you! The woman who answered said she thought it was available but didn't answer the rest of my question. I guess I'll find out soon! 14 days!!!

I'm in the 60s Building 4, 4th floor and we have a new fridge. FYI, when we got here the fridge wasn't cool at all, my DH pulled it out of the cabinet and was able to adjust the temp in the back. We had to fix it this morning as my snack size carton of milk had iced up and so had a couple bottles of water.

On the request for bug info, to the poster wondering if I had to take a sedative yet, I actually had to break up reading the responses because I was so anxious even reading the descriptions. I know, that is weird! But I wanted to say thanks so much to all who responded! I think that I will just try to put it out of my mind and not worry about it. It sounds like by far these are few and far between occurrences and I am betting that they are more palmetto bug type things (babies? maybe? OMG I did not even think of baby ones until this thread!!) than a cleanliness issue with the regular you-know-whats.

I am going to request a high level floor and hope for the best. We are really looking forward to our trip and so many people say such wonderful things about POP that I know we will have a great time.

Thanks again for all the responses!

Glad to see the subject being changed over to so many people so close to the final countdown! :cheer2: Much easier reading!!

We are in single digits. This is going to be the Longest. Week. Ever.

We are at 16 days but by a stroke of luck, the last week before our trip will be insanely busy (including homecoming the night before our 6am flight...and we live an hour away from the airport). So while we have 2 weeks left, it really only feels like 1 week because the last week we won't have time to think much about it. I can't wait!!

Do you have the new bedding?

Loving Pop but not the cigarette smoke wafting by me while I sit by the pool. Had to move once because a group at one of the pool deck tables near the food court was puffing away. If you want to smoke, go for it but please do it in the designated area.

Just got back from Pop on Tuesday! I liked the hotel and the staff but I did not like being the bus stop furthest from the entrance/exit to pretty much every park. They need a people mover to get you out at the end of the day :P. Only one HUGE line (after the park closed one night). I enjoyed jumping into the computer pool (we were in the 90's and walked across the parking lot every night) after every day in the park! If we stay there again, I will spring for a preferred room cause getting back to the room every night was a chore though Mom wants to upgrade to POFQ. Still, we did enjoy Pop more than movies (Didn't have to share buses, could walk to AoA) No bugs other than the love bugs fornicating everywhere. LOTS of little lizards and a few snails! Our Mousekeeper for the first few nights played around with the stuffed characters I had though I think someone different did the last few days cause they just ended up in a chair and not in a cute little staged grouping though she/he did leave us an adorable towel toothbrush holder! It was a good experience (save for the walking) and I enjoyed our stay at POP!

Oh man that kind of thing just burns me up :rotfl: sorry, couldn't resist....it is really annoying and I understand why you are aggravated by that though. Why can't people just follow the rules? :confused3
