Pop Century SPECULATION

So, I was driving by Pop Century today, and I saw them working on the front entrance sign, as if they were prepping it to put the logo in. This of course would hint that they are prepping to open it for the summer season. Of course, as the subject of this thread states, is pure speculation.

We were told end of April by a guest services person I talked to today. She said it was a soft opening, just the front buildings and ressie's weren't being taken yet. I wonder, how do they have a soft opening, without any people?

I thought maybe when they listed PC on their bus stops that was a good sign. (No pun intended.) But that didn't pan out either.

DMRick... that's what I call a "pretend" opening. LOL How can it be an "opening" if it's not really opened? Can you imagine a store with a grand opening that isn't really opened for business yet?

I hope it's opened before our trip and thanks for the "speculated" update because it lets me know I should be doing some phone calls in the next few months to try to change my reservations to there.

It looks like we may visit the "world" this summer. I would love to stay there.

would this indicate bookings are up on-site? or does disney figure: it's just there, we better open it? I'm curious to see how this resort goes. Do you know the price range? I'm assuming the same as the all-stars?

I can't give you any details on anything else... because at this time, I know nothing. The only thing I know is that when I drove by, it looked like they were prepping the entrance to get it ready to add the Logo sign. *shrug* We shall see what will happen.

They had a "soft" opening for AKL. It basically was CMs only. I tried really hard to get in for the Soft opening since that was when our trip was but they said no way.

Our MIL and FIL are there now. I'm going to email them and ask for site maps. If it is showing up on those, then maybe it will be sooner than later for opening.
Boy--this seems to have been a long time 'comin!!
