Pop Century Room Recommendations? Have never been there or even seen it. Going in June. Prefer close to buses, close to food, away from noise and if there is anywhere you can see fireworks would be great!

To be close to the buses and the food court the 70's section is best along with the 60's.
60's are suppose to be closest but we found the 70's closer, depending on where you are in them.
In the 70's building 10 is pretty good choice, right off Classic Hall (the food court and main building) where you can cut thru to the buses or go around the Hall by the parking to the buses. Both are pretty close.

As for the fireworks people say the 50's facing the lake is a good spot, top floor of course. I haven't stayed on that side, to me it is to far away from the buses. Classic Hall is close, but the buses are at one end of the building and 50's is at the other....a bigger walk to buses in my opinion.

Pop is a very fun place to stay. I hope you enjoy it.

Ditto! I would say request a 60's building (bldg 4 or 5) or bldg 10 of the 70's!

I would suggest the 60's facing the lake. I am not sure which building number it is, but her is the link to the map. We stayed in the building with Baloo and Mowgli. It was a close but nice walk to the food court/bus. The 70's looks close too.

We stayed there in Oct. of 2008. We liked it a lot but were only there for three nights so didn't have a lot of time to explore the property. I think we were in the 80's in a room that was almost on a corner (it was directly opposite of the closest pool side room) on the first floor. We didn't mind as it was quiet. We had no compalints. The room is 260 sq feet which was really fine w/ two small children. We enjoyed the pool and from our room we could catch some fireworks. The food court is not much. We had food dilivered from the grocery store, so we didn't go there much. It was very crowded on the one night we ate dinner there and very over-stimulating. No big deal though. Remember that its a value hotel and its a nice little clean room that most likely you won't be spending a lot of time in.

Here's the problem....close to bus/food/pool? Then it's going to be noisier than other spots. Nice and quiet?? Further walk to food/bus.
So...fireworks (very high up ones from IllumiNations can be seen..not great view but better than nothing) views can be had from the bldgs that face towards Epcot...bldgs 2 and 3 in 50's and 4 in 60's..maybe 5 as well.
Rooms that are closer to the food court and bus stop are going to be preferred rooms..you need to book that catagory room and pay for it.
My favorite room to date has been room 4441. Bldg 4 in 60's, facing the lake, on the fourth floor. It was so quiet and peaceful, but it was a bit further from the food court and bus stops. It's a trade off.

Asked for connecting rooms, 70's building, #10, upper floor and facing back of building. Thanks for all of the advice!

We have stayed here 3 times and always request building 1 in the 1950s section, it is not as noisy and busy as the 60s section and is only a short walk to the food court and buses, but there wouldnt be any firework view from building 1. Also it is right next to the bowling pin pool, which we always enjoy more than the main pool, as it is less crowded. It would probably be quieter on the parking lot side of the building, but we have always been put on the side facing the bowling pin pool and it is a little noisy sometimes but has never been too bad.

I stayed in the 50's, 3rd floor, facing the lake. I thought it was a great area as it was a little more on the quiet side (great at night). It was only a short walk to the food court/buses/main building. The bowling pin pool was also nice with much less activity going on.

I have been to Pop twice now the first time we stayed in the 80's which was relatively quiet, but slightly far from the buses, which, at the end of a long day is not so good. On our most recent trip we stayed at the 50's which was quiet and our room was very close to the buses and the Everything Pop restaurant. The most conveniently located area by far is the 60's but I find its very loud and the pool stays busy until late.

Respectfully, that's a LOT of requests. The more, and more specific, any Guest's requests, the less possible it is for Walt Disney World to grant them - plain and simple logistics.

Pop Century rooms = 2,880
Connecting rooms = 1,440
Connecting rooms in 70's = 288
Connecting rooms in building 10 = 144
Connecting rooms on upper floors in building 10 = 72 - 108 (depending what you consider "upper", i.e. just three and four, or two through four)
Connecting upper floor rooms facing back of building = 48 - 72
Preferred connecting upper floor rooms facing back of building = 24 - 36
Standard connecting upper floor rooms facing back of building = 24 - 36

So, with all your requests, you've narrowed the possible rooms from which the room assignors can choose for you from 2,880 to, potentially, less than ONE percent of that.

Our room was in the 70's building 10. We had a quick walk to buses (through classic hall or down a short path to opposite side of bus stops near the parking lot) and to the food court as well. We could not see fireworks from our room, but we did see some when we were taking a lakeside walk on a very long way back to the room one night. We also faced a small courtyard and had no outside noise at all. The only noise was a crying child a few nights a few rooms away. I liked where we stayed and it was not a preferred room. If you wanted to be right outside a pool then I would pay for preferred.

We stayed in the 50s building 3. It was very quiet over there and a quick walk to the food court and bus stops. Loved it here

Our room was the last building by the small water fountain(splash pad) by the Hippy Pool. We were never in our room anyway. It was close to the main entrance and busses and the last building by the bridge. There wasn't any night noise either. When I did my ressie online I requested a prefered room and they were going to put us on a second floor. We refused that one and they put us on the ground floor in the better location.

We stayed in the 50s building 3. It was very quiet over there and a quick walk to the food court and bus stops. Loved it here
And yet, part of building 3 is relatively far from Classic Hall - especially the bus stop/Everything Pop side.

Which means, apparently, the resort maps are accurate, and NO PART OF POP is particularly far from everything :teeth:
