Pop Century Resort Question

Messed up my quote - Was going to quote a PP who said resort wouldn't be full, but it seems to be booked up that week. I am going the same week and out of curiosity looked at booking another room - none available in any category. Although when I go back now there seems to be some, so who knows?

Think I figured it out - there are none available with the fall discount maybe. I was surprised last week that it seemed full.

I've stayed at POP before and enjoyed my stay. This resort can be a tad louder from room to room, but nothing too terrible. I drive to Disney, so I pack a small floor fan to drown out background noises. Enjoy your stay :)

Rooms are available in every category for the OP's dates at rack rate, but there are no discounted rooms available.

I've only ever stayed at Pop and love it there. Feels like going 'home' after a day at the parks :-)

We'e stayed at Pop 3 times and never had a problem with noise. That being said, we've always been in a top floor room. We've faced the lake, a courtyard, and the bowling pin pool. I didn't really notice any noise from the pool once we were inside the room -- but that may have been because it was a "quiet" pool and we were on the 4th floor....further away from the noise than we would have been on the first floor.

I've heard that if you close the bathroom door, you can eliminate a lot of the neighboring bathroom noise. And you can always request a box fan at the front desk if you need some white noise in the room.

My daughter and I went on a mommy/daughter trip and stayed at Pop. It was perfect for us, and she still says it's one of her favorites. I didn't notice a difference in the bed quality, but we enjoyed having beds to ourselves since we didn't have to share with DH and DS. We had a preferred room, top floor facing the main pool. It was a little noisy during the afternoon when everyone was in the pool, but we were just in and out to change clothes so it didn't bother us. At night, it was really quiet. We loved the food court, and rarely waited more than 3 or 4 minutes for a bus. It seemed like they had way more buses running than the other resorts we've stayed at. It's a great resort. I hope you have a blast!!

We love POP and we never have a problem there. Granted that we were only there to sleep because we would be at the parks all day, but night time was really quite. We normally like to take a day to stay at POP to relax, and we would barely notice people walking past our room. It does get a little noisy at the pool during the afternoon, but we didn't mind because everyone was there to enjoy themselves. With the buses, you don't have to wait long for a bus to come. We have stayed at All Star Movies and they share buses with All Star Music and Sports and Movies is always the last stop and they get crowed very fast. Its actually one of the reasons why we go back there, but POP is my favorite hotel to stay at. I recommend it to everyone.

We have stayed at Pop four times and have never had a problem with noise. We always request the top floor and this helps. We had a bad experience at All Star Sport with the noise from the people above us. I have always requested top floor since that trip. We also have never been right by a pool while staying at Pop which I believe also helps with noise. I don't have anything negative to say about Pop. You should have a wonderful time there.

Every resort has its pros and cons and we find that the trip is a little different depending on where you stay! Our most favorite resort is pop! We prefer more rooms for less. Food court and bus transportation is b etter than any other place. We think the pools are fine and love the pool bar. Grounds are colorful and hav e lots of nostalgic things to look at. Noise isn't that bad. Inside hallways in the deluxe resorts can be worse. We once had a small child running up and down the hall during the middle of the night! The room is small but adequate, beds ok, bathroom small but we aren't likely to stay in the room much at Disney World.
