Pop Century Refurb 11/7-17

Refurbs on Transportation system )CM said they’re building a new building—I didn’t ask for anymoe details)and Bowling pin pool.
Are there refurbs going on at most resorts during this time or are we really this unlucky?

Curious - what sort of refurb to transportation area? When I was there last month, they were repainting all the large Pop signs across the front (every day one of the bus stops was moved to the far end so the painters could work) so I'm not sure what kind of refurb they would be doing in that area.

Pool refurbs can happen anytime and have been known to happen with very little warning. I would consider you lucky rather than unlucky to hear about one this far ahead.

We have had several trips at POFQ were something was being rehab( foodcourt 2016, room refurbishments and the bus stop ). Since there is no real slow time regarding room occupancy renovations are happening all year. As the PP noted you are lucky to get notice this early. In our case they had no significant effect.

You will have no issues on your trip.

POP has three pools, so you can use one of the other two ... your room may actually be closer to the others anyway. If not the resort is not that big. There are room renovations happening but that will not impact your stay other than you might see the workers but they stay in very contained areas and do not walk up by the main hub. The transportation building is out on the lake between POP and AoA, and unless your room faces that way (most the rooms right by it are closed for renovation) or you walk over there ... you won't even know it is happening.
