We are planning a trip to WDW Dec 2nd through the 9th. We have stayed at ASMO our past three trips and my Mom would like to try Pop Century. I feel comfortable at ASMO. I know the layout and even request a certain room, so we are close to the main building. So before I make my ressie I do have a few questions. 1. Which building is closer to the food court and bus stops (main building) at the standard room rate? How is the transportation? Is it better or worse than ASMO? How is the food court?

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks for helping plan our magical trip!!!

50's and 70's are very close, some are even closer than the preferred in my oppinion. We stayed in 50's and loved it, we are huge POP fans and are returning again this year with our two small children. There is a HUGE POP thread on the resort board that could answer all of your questions and a former POP employee Tyler is great about answering all of your detailed questions. There are also detailed maps there to help you out. You'll love POP!

I'll second the 50's buildings. We were in the first building close to the parking lot and it was a great location. The only thing that would have made it any better was if we were on the ground floor. We were right next to the main building but we could bypass it and head to the front of it and right to the bus stop. The 70's buildings are closer to the food court end of the building though.

I really like the food court here. And the bus transportation is great!

I'll put a vote in for the 70's building with the Big Wheel--that's where I stayed in October. It is closer to the food court and the bus stop than the 50's buildings--just don't cut threw the main building to get there. Walk outside to get to the bus. We were no more than a minute or two to the bus and food court.

yea if you dont want a preferred room which is the 60s building ask for the 70s...we have been in there...very close to main area....food court ...buses..etc...the food court has a great variety of food....very spacious....cant wait to get back in june!!! :flower:

We were there in Jan. and we stayed in the 70's rooms 0368 and 0369 and it was really close to everything! I would stay there again.

Is this the first floor? Are these adjoing rooms?

It was the 3rd floor and yes they were adjoining. Our view of our room was the Giant Mickey with the phone and the foose ball.
