Hey! Staying at POP for just one night before a cruise in January. I know that this is a BIG resort, but I have a question. Can you drive up to your building so you can park relatively close?

Thanks - DianeDisney :cool1:

It depends on what building you are in. Some of the buildings are close to the parking lots while others are a little bit of a walk. If that is important to you make a request when you make your reservation and then again when you check-in. :)

I hope you don't mind me adding a POP question. Do they have irons and ironing boards in the room or do you have to request one?

We could not park next to our building, but there are other buildings closer to parking lots if you can request a building?!?!?!?!?! :earsboy:

Yes, I'm pretty sure that there are ironing boards and irons in the rooms at POP. I hope this helps!

"Rooms are 260 square feet, with two double beds or one king bed, a table and two chairs, vanity area and sink with separate bathroom, 27-inch color television, in-room wall safe, telephones with voice mail and data port. Available on request: non-smoking rooms, rooms accessible to guests with disabilities, hearing-impaired TDD telephones, visual smoke alarms, bed boards and bed rails, refrigerators (extra charge), cribs, iron and ironing board. Room furnishings include custom-designed and themed bed coverings, wall art and wallpaper borders. "

That's from allearsnet.com. So based on what that says, then you will have to request it.

I think this may be one of the things AllEars might be a bit dated on. Last two trips I've had an ironing board/iron in the room and didn't request one. However, as BeckWhy said, even if they don't have one in your room they are available for the asking.

Good luck!

Yeah I was thinking that when we were there there was an iron and ironing board.

If memory serves, I believe portions of the 50's building were darn close to the parking lot. Same with the 70's. Some were much closer than the "preferred" 60's building

LOL, can't blame AllEars for not being absolutely perfect, though - that place is such an amazing resource that I've heard many WDW CM's use it as well!

Yes they have ironing boards and now most rooms also have mounted hair dryers which are really nice and handy.

The iron and ironing board were already in the room....

We also had an iron and ironing board in our room.

I was in one of the 80s buildings and there was a parking lot right outside (we had a parking lot view which was fine with us). I didn't think POP was as big as I thought it was going to be before I got there.

Any way of knowing if hair dryers are now in ALL rooms? I'd love to not have to cart mine with me in Aug.

TIA for the help !

We stayed in the 60's room 4438 4th floor, we had a hair dryer, iron and ironing board.

I know that I saw a recent post from someone that said that they didn't have one in their room so I'm not sure. I do know that you can easily request one so I would just leave it at home and use theirs.

I think I know what your talking about.....the hair dryer were not originally placed in the rooms, but I think recently they have been installing them as
a permenant fixture. I had read this a while back..... :flower:
