Pop Century Question

For those of you who have stay at PC, I have a question. Is the standard or preferred rooms better? I'm going to make reservations later this week. Thanks for your help.

I just back from Pop and we stayed in the 50s. We really liked the location. At night I was walking around and the 60s buildings ,which are the preferred, and right in the middle seemed loud to me. I wouldn't pick that location. The 70s does not have it's own pool and the 80s and 90s are the fartherest from the food court but they do have a pool. So I vote the 50s seemed the best.

I have to agree. I stayed in the 50's building also and we were not to far from anything. If I were to go again I would probally request that building again.

I agree. The 50's were the best! If you have a car, the 60's are quite far from parking areas. So that would make a difference. However, if you like to be right in the middle of the resort, the pool, the noise, the bus stop and everything then the 60's would be fine. I just wouldn't want to pay extra for it. We really enjoyed our stay there and we were in Building 1 in the 50th's on the 2nd floor.

Here's another vote for the 50's building! We were in building A on the ground floor and looked out into the courtyard area. We would definitely stay in that area again!

I am booked for PC in the preferred rooms. How close is the 50s building(s) to the 60s. I am not driving and will not have a car there so I don't care where the parking is.

I do want to be close to the food, pools etc. Cause I am going to be doing a lot of walking.

So what are you thoughts? Where should we stay...in the 50s or the 60s. The thought of saving $50.00 is really a good thought.

Hmmmmm... I was going to book the 60s but maybe I will book the 50s! How far are they from the bus stop and the pool? I guess I can check the pool on the map but what about the bus stop? I do like it somewhat quiet at night.

Personally, I wouldn't spend the extra. It was very busy around the hippy dippy pool, and from our rooms in the A building, we could see the bowling pin pool and Lady and the Tramp. The walk to the food court was surprisingly short, walking through the courtyard and in the 'back door'. I would not have been as happy if our rooms had been facing the parking lot though. The walk to the bus stops was a little further, but honestly nothing to speak of. BTW, our rooms were 1106 and 1107 in 50's A Building. The kids were constantly running back and forth refilling their mugs! If you have any other questions, let me know!

Bonnie: Where you in the 50s buildings?

I don't want to be super far from the bus stops. Noise will not bother us. When we are tired..we are out!

We were in the A Building in the 50's section. It seems that each decade has a A, B and C section to it. I didn't make any requests before we arrived, and was happy with the room location. Personally, I really liked being on the ground level. Having to take the elevator or stairs would definitely make the trip to the food court or the bus stops much longer.

We stayed in the 80s section but honestly I would not request a preferred room. SInce it is a value resort the rooms are small and there are tons of people there. I think being farther away from the center (food area and the main pool) is a plus. We walked out of our room and had the computer pool right outside our door and we did not ask for a preferred view. I would just svae the $$ they way it is laid out you aren't far from anything
