When I made reservat. at Pop Century for next month, the cast member asked me if I wanted a preferred building (I think it was 5 or 10 more a night). What are the preferred buildings and why are they preferred? Is it worth it? Thanks

It's the 60's building - preferred because of the closer proximity to the main hall.

Is it worth it? Haven't been to Pop Century yet, but from what I've heard, unless you just want that particular decade for personal reasons, I would say no, because the buildings aren't as spread out as the other value resorts.

When we've stayed at the other value resorts, we've had quite a treck in the mornings. We started driving our van in the morning to the front part of the parking lot so we wouldn't have as far to walk in the morning or when we got back to the hotel. Lazy, maybe - but with two kids and after walking in the parks all day, I've had enough exercise! :)

I personally do not think the preferred buildings are worth it unless you want to stay in that particular decade.

The buildings are all very close to the Main Hall and Busses.

Pop Century's buildings were laid out in a semi-circle around Classic Hall. So, even the furthest building really is not far. The 60's are right there at the main building, but the 50's and 70's are also very close. The 80s and 90s are the furthest away, but they're still relatively close.

So, does this mean that the preferred rooms are connected to the food court/main hall?

Not connected, no... but a very short walk.
