Taking my daughter for her 13th birthday in January and am looking at Pop or Caribbean Beach. It's about $300 more to stay at CBR but last time I stayed at Pop it was so noisy I got absolutely no sleep. I worry about the bus situation at CBR though. Opinions are appreciated. Which would you do and why. Thanks!

I love CBR and it is always my first choice of resort. "Bus issues" can - and do - happen at any resort. I've even had them at Pop with it's oh-so-amazing one stop.

One thing to keep in mind... You get queen beds at CBR and only doubles at Pop.

CBR HANDS DOWN.

-Went last January and had NO bus issues whatsoever
-grounds are gorgeous
-spacious and always seems empty, no matter how full the resort is
-great pool
-great food
-queen beds
-lovely theming

I find the moderates significantly quieter than value resorts. I didn't have "bus issues" but it took a long time to get to the room because there are so many stops around the resort. I loved having 2 sinks in the room. Made getting ready in the morning easier when there is more than 1 person.

$300 over how many nights would impact my decision most times of year but in January you are likely to experience the BTG in mass at the values so ....

What I would do would depend on how many nights we were staying, and if we were going to hang out at the resort or not. If you want pool time I would be more apt to suggest you stay at CBR. However, I do strongly dislike the number of bus stops at CBR. The one stop at the values is much nicer than the 7 at CBR. But then again the Pop's bus stop at the parks is always one of the ones farthest away from the park tapstyles.

Could you possible do a different moderate resort? POFQ has 1 bus stop and is very compact. CSR has 4 stops, but the bus service is pretty great.

I second this. I would so pick CBR. We have stayed there every time we go to Disney (except our upcoming trip where we will be at AKL) and we love this resort. It is so quiet and peaceful.

I would rather have the extra $300 for other things. The resorts are nice but we're basically just there to sleep. We've never had a noise problem at the values. Just depends on what building you're in.

Thank you for all the opinions. We did CBR years ago and the resort was deserted and quiet which was nice but we waited forever for a bus every time. I ended up switching to Port Orleans Riverside. We've stayed there before too. I thought the bus was quick and easy and resort quiet. I hate spending more for just a place to sleep in but we will only have 4 days- a day for each park and will be going all day so a good night's sleep is really needed for me. No sleep= cranky mom! I'm so excited for this trip- just me and my daughter, a mommy and daughter only trip at her request. : )

We did a split stay on our last trip. It was just one night at POP and then moved to CBR. We orig. were just going to be at CBR, and it was full for the extra night we wanted so we went for POP. We liked CBR much better for many of the reasons that others listed(theming, queen beds, 2 sinks, larger rooms, etc.). We didn't have any trouble with their buses and we've stayed there 2 times.

I think you made a nice choice! Enjoy your mom/daughter trip! I've done several with my daughter, and have another one planned for her spring break (arriving on her 18th birthday!). We're staying at All Star Sports next time (a first; we enjoyed our stays at Pop though! Last one at the BWI we didn't enjoy - super noisy neighbors that we had to call security on even, and it cost twice per night as a value resort so never there again).

What is BTG?

You forgot to add the sound.

Exactly. For the full impact, imagine them chanting everywhere they go. Then imagine them cutting lines, running over cast members and other guests, piling those cute pink backpacks up and leaving them unattended, etc.
