Pop Century... ONLY HAVE PREFERRED ROOMS IN SEPTEMBER??!?! OT...

So we're doing a budget trip in September. Got a 35% Pin Code in the mail... all Pop had available were PREFERRED ROOMS. What on earth?!?! It's $10 more per night-ish than the standard rooms.... they can't all be booked up yet right?!

I'm sure its just all the standard rooms are booked that were available with the pin code. Every room isn't available with the code.

There may have been NO standard rooms available at the discount. I've seen before where people got amazing rates on Expedia or wherever for CBR rooms. Well, a little bit more searching and it turned out the rate was only for KING bed rooms. WDW is going to discount what doesn't sell as quickly...hence, the availability of preferred rooms.

(I'm facing the same with POFQ in May...discount only applying to King rooms. Well, rooms have just been refurbed to queens, so I really don't need a king. Makes the 35% discount less valuable if it only applies to a more expensive room)

When I got my pin code I tried multiple weeks in Sept at pop and none came up preferred or other wise, and when I called CM told me Pop wasn't included in pin code promo so take from that what u wish. I'd love tro be at POP and preferred is what I have now at ASMo so wouldn't make diff to me

Hmmm that's weird! We've never stayed at POP so I'm glad we got it at least. I was just surprised that Standards weren't included....

There could have been some included, but they could have been booked already.

We had the similar issues with the free dining general code in December. Standard wasn't available at Pop the 10th-14th, but it was available the 10th-15th so we just decided to stay another night (it was less than $100).

Did you try changing around your dates?

If it makes you feel any better I think staying in the preferred is totally worth it, and I'm a cheapskate! You are so much closer to everything.

That is what I thought the first year I had preferred. We were right on the Hippy Dippy Pool. Oh it was great. Then I book preferred the next year. We were so far from everything. We had the least preferred of the preferred rooms. Some are a fair distance from everything and so not worth the extra 10.00 per night.

I'm hoping I get a good one, especially since I didn't have a choice. The good thing is that we'll have a car, so as long as we can be close-ish to a parking lot, I'm good
