Pop Century Location Question

Hi all ... have booked my reservation at POP Century for our December vacation ... just a quick question ... have heard some nice things about rooms overlooking the lake at POP ... is this considered a preferred room? Just thought it would be nice to overlook the lake. Thanks!

My family and I stayed at POP in May and had a room in the 50's building overlooking the lake. It was not a preferred room.

We did enjoy seeing the lake out of our window! We also got to see some ducks and rabbits which my DD enjoyed watching.

the swimming pool is consider preferred.

the lake view is standard.

The rooms overlooking the lake are not preferred as you can see on the map. They are nice rooms in a quieter area but they generally are further away from the main building which is what makes the preferred rooms preferred. We requested and got a room facing the lake and it was nice. But realize that the room is facing the lake - not on the lake. There is a sidewalk and a small piece of grass between the building and the water.

POP is our favorite Disney hotel! Even the non-preferred lake view rooms are still an easy walk to the food court, gift shop and bus stops!
