My husband and I leave for Disney on Monday, 12-10. I'm am home sick today with a sinus infection/flu. I am bringing my antibiotics with me and my cold medicine. But just in case I run out of over the counter meds, I was wondering if Pop sold any meds? TIA :)

Yup.

Standard OTC stuff.

More info HERE.

At your Disney World Hotel or Resort

Every Disney Resort, as well as every resort in the Disney area, has a gift shop that sells a small variety of over-the-counter medications. Items like cough medicine, band-aids,
first-air cream
and analgesics are available. While these items can be at an inflated price, the convenience of having them available and close by is worth the price you will pay.

(I'm thinking they mean "first-AID cream." ;) )

If your insurance company has national pharmacies (Walgreens, CVS, Target, Wal Mart, etc), I would suggest finding the closes one (and writing down the address) now so if you have to have your doctor call something else in for you, you know exactly what location they need to call it in to.

I would strongly suggest bringing more OTC meds then you could possibly need. They will cost a lot at the gift shops.

I was sick during our November visit. We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. My experience is that the meds available in the gift shop are limited. If you want something specific like DayQuil, I would bring it with me to be safe....unless you have a car (I did). Meds don't take that much room in your bag and cost much less if you buy them from home. Have a good trip. :)

Very good advice:thumbsup2 Danny

There are also pharmacies within driving distance if you have a car.

There pretty much seems to be some sort of pharmacy on every corner in Florida!
