Hi - I've looked through most of the threads when I did a Pop Century search -but couldn't find enough detail to satisfy my planning frenzy. :)

I'm hoping one of you experts can help me with the following:

We (me, dh, ds(3), dd(1.5)) are going 9/14 - 9/19 with MYW plus dining. I'm very excited because it'll be my very first onsite experience.

We decided on Pop Century based on reviews read.

Questions:
1) Any recommendations for a room? We have requested 70's building but any specific location or floor that has benefits? I am also wondering if any of the 1st floor rooms might be close to a pool. While the kids are sleeping (for naps and in the evening before DH and I go to bed) - I was thinking of bringing my baby monitor and going outside the room so the kids will go to sleep easier. If there is a pool chair or something nearby (close enough to watch the room door) - it might make this more convenient.
2) Is the 70's building as close to the bus stop/food court as the 50's is?
3) Speaking of the food court - is there a toaster that can be used? My kids love Cheerios and toast for breakfast - I'm planing on bringing the Cheerios but it would be nice to be able to toast up some bread for them too.
4) Is there a microwave for general use in the food court?
5) Any other tips for travelers with young children that you can think of to offer?

THANKS for your help!
Karen

I have not yet stayed there but just wanted to pass along this thread in case you hadn't seen it. POP Faq

Myst

Yes, the POP FAQ is the best place to look for/ask these questions. :)

There was a toaster and microwave in the food court at ASMovies, so I am sure there will be at Pop too.

I would also read the FAQ. But there was a microwave in the food court, when I was there in December, I remember I used it. Don't remember if there was a toaster though.

1. The 70's section is really the only one not right next to one of the three pools, but it's a short walk to either the Hippy Dippy Pool in the 60's, or the Computer Pool in the 80's/90's.

2. The 70's are roughly the same distance to the Food Court and the bus stops, depending on the exact building.

3. I believe there is indeed a toaster that anyone can use.

4. And also a microwave.

5. We have been there twice with my 2 year old and I can't think of anything special that we did. For a slightly quieter experience, you might request a room facing the lake. We have found those rooms very peaceful.

We stayed in 50's at the back by the lake. It was great because it was quiet, but the best part is you can see the fireworks, fantasmic and illuminations in the distance across the lake from the walkway outside your room.

Just back from Pop and loved every minute of it (except check out). We stayed in the 50's building lakeside and it was very quite. We were on the 2nd floor so that helped as well. There is a microwave for sure. I am not sure about the toaster as we didn't eat breakfast in the food court. I would recommend also splurging a little and by the refillable mug. It cost $12 but you get unlimited refills while you are there. You can easily get your money's worth. We really enjoyed Pop a lot. There was absolutely nothing negative that happened while we were there. I will also say we only used the bus once and drove the rest. We figured since you get a parking pass for the parks when you stay on property, why not drive? That way you don't have to wait in line for the bus. It was great for us.
