I have stayed at pop and had 2 connecting rooms. Does anyone know if they have 3 rooms in a row that all connect?

If not, since we'll be booking 3 rooms, is there any guarentee that the 3 rooms will be side by side?

I'd be interested to know this too...we are going to be @ Pop this December and have three rooms reserved...

We had connecting rooms last year at POP, one was a king room and the other had 2 queens. The king was a accessable room. You can request all 3 rooms in a row, they try to accomodate as best as they can!

I requested connecting rooms and they told me the reservations were linked together....is this good enough?

If you have 8 or more people you can be a grand gathering. Then they try hard to get you close to each other. Requesting connecting rooms is only a request and not guaranteed.

Last September we had 3 rooms side by side (in a preferred location). We were not guaranteed that we would have the rooms in a row but did request it with our reservation and upon check in.

We wanted 2 of the rooms to connect if possible but they said there weren't any available at that time.

Hope that helps!

We had 6 rooms during MF 2005 and every other room was a connecting room, so do not think they would have 3 connecting rooms in a row.

POP was great - I called ahead about 4/5 days ahead, asked to speak with a front desk supervisor, explained why to the call center and she very kindly put me through. The CM was wonderful - he blocked 6 ajoining rooms (every other was a connecting room) in building 2, facing the pool, 4th floor.

It was great fun to all be together!

Hope things work out for you!

They do not have 3 connecting rooms. The closest thing to it would be at some of the DVC resorts where they connect a studio to a one bedroom and call it a 2 bedroom. It does have 3 different sleeping areas though. Those can sleep 8 people.

Called in, they gave us 2 connected rooms, guarenteed (cause of the number of kids under 18), and the 3rd room they said will be close, no guarentee. Thats good enough for me. Its the 2nd week of november, so I don't anticipate heavy crowds (fingers crossed)

How did they guarantee the connecting room? How many kids under 18?

I reserved 2 rooms at Pop, one had 2 adults in it, with 2 children and the other had 3 children. CRO would not let me set it up that way, and required an adult in each room. So, now I have one adult + 3 kids in one room and one adult +2 kids in the other room, which is not our preference for sleeping arrangements, so I am praying that we will get connecting rooms when I check-in. I was told by CRO that connecting could NOT be guaranteed.

Disney may say they guarantee connecting rooms but in reality Disney does not guarantee connecting rooms.

As a mother of 4 (All grown now. My oldest is in her 30's and my youngest is 22) I often wished Disney had more options for larger families.
When the children were younger and we would go to Disney they did not have DVC or the family suites. In fact Disney did not have a Moderate until CBR opened in the late 1980's so if we wanted to stay onsite we either rented 2 rooms at a deluxe or stayed in the cabins.

I wrote to Disney many times over the years asking for more options for families so when I heard they were building the New Family Suites at All Star Music it just made me so happy!

In the late 80's I booked 2 connecting rooms at CBR for my family.
When we checked in there were no connecting rooms left but we were able to get rooms next to each other on the second floor.
Our two oldest were teens so I put them in one room and the 2 little ones who were 5 and 7 stayed with us. It worked for us because our older children were able to stay in a room without us but if they were younger DH and I would have had to split up.

Disney may say they guarantee connecting rooms but in reality Disney does not guarantee connecting rooms.

If there are 2 adults Disney can split the adults and children into two rooms that are not connecting. They try hard not to do this but it can and does happen sometimes. If however it is one adult with 5 children Disney should try harder to find connecting rooms since some of the children cannot be left in a room without an adult. But if you look at the threads posted below you will see that sometimes even Disney mixes up.

It does happen. Far too often IMHO.

Just wanted to re-iterate what others have said:

We requesting connecting rooms at CBR in January--not really a busy time & we were early for check-in. They did not have us in connecting rooms. They said they could accommodate us, but it would be smoking rooms--which was our #1 request non-smoking.

We were side-by-side, so we just went outside to go next door, so it wasn't a huge deal for us. But if you definitely want to be together--I would go with a suite. You could also look into renting DVC points for a villa.

Here are a couple more threads about guests not getting connecting rooms:

One of the threads that Linda posted a link to was my experience last March. I had many conversations with the higher-ups at Guest Services and was told that even if it says "guaranteed" it is not truly "guaranteed." It just has higher priority over the "requests." Because on a given day, there might only be 25 connecting room sets opening up, but 27 "guaranteed connecting rooms for families" ressies checking in. 2 of those families are not going to get their "guarantee."

I know, I was shocked that we had to fight so hard to get put in rooms that had just been fumigated for lice (they were taken out of the inventory, but re-opened because we insisted we needed rooms.) I sort of assumed that if they didn't have the rooms for us, they'd find rooms elsewhere on Disney property. For that stay, we were sometimes 2 adults and sometimes only 1. Now we will book offsite if we need to do that again. If there are 2 of us adults, we book connecting and hope for the best. Otherwise, we'll split the kids.

My point is to make backup plans if you are depending on connecting rooms.

That is one of the main reasons if my family were young I would choose a Suite over 2 connecting rooms or I would be prepared that I may need to split the family up and sleep in a different room than DH.

We went in April and we stayed in Asmu part of our stay and Pop the other part and we requested connecting rooms due to the age of the children we had 2 adults, a 17 yrold, 13 yr old a 12 yr old, a 8 yr old and 6 month old and they told me they gauranteed us connecting rooms due to the ages of the children involved! And when I got there I had no problems at all we got connecting rooms at both resorts with no hassle! So I do believe sometimes it may be a misfortune that you dont get what you ask for but I do believe disney tries there best to accomdate your requests! Remember also the earlier you check in the better a chance you have to get what you want! And also in Asmu you we not only requested connecting rooms we requested the jazz section and we got both! At Pop we requested the 60's section and connecting and we got there early and they said right then they had 2 choices available for us if we would like to check in then the 70's and the 90's so we choose the 70's my 8 yr old wanted the computer pool! But we could have waited to get our original request but we chose not to but it was an option!

Just a quick question on connecting rooms ... someone mentioned that one of the connecting rooms had a king and the other room had two doubles. Do they have connecting rooms with two double beds in each room? Thanks.

We have 5 kids. So they put it in their system as 1 adult with 2 kids and 1 adult with 3 kids. All the kids are 10 and under. We stayed there in April and they gave us the connecting rooms. Both had 2 double beds. Just because disney puts 1 adult per room doesn't mean you have to sleep like that. All the kids can be in one room if you want.
