Can anyone tell me if the pop century rooms have air conditioning that is continuously on, or have they gone green and the air conditioning shuts down when there is no movement in the room. In otherwords does the air conditioning stay on all night when people are sleeping.

In 2015 when I stayed there, it was always on. We liked to come back to a room that was freezing cold and it always was! Not sure if they have changed it, but that was October of 2015.

I have to say it is so nice to come back to the room when it is icey cold...
I wonder if part of the refurb this year will include the motion sensor for the AC...

When I stayed at Pop this past January, our room had the motion sensor for the AC...but we were in one of the test rooms for the upcoming refurb. I've never stayed in a regular room at Pop, so I don't know if they've all switched to sensors.

I recall reading complaints about the AC at Pop. Something about it turning off overnight, I guess from sensors, and waking to a hot room. We've stayed there several times now with the most recent being February 2016 and have never experienced the air shutting off. But with all of the rooms we've stayed at in Disney I feel like there is a very fine line between freezing and being too hot.

We stayed there in September and I don't remember having an issue with the AC ever shutting off. I never kept it super cold but we never came back or woke up to an incredibly hot room.

I guess this explains why they are putting in sensors.

I stayed at Pop in 2015 and I remember having to kick the air on when we came back to the room. But, I don't believe in running it super low when I'm not in the room to use it either.

The room I stayed in had the sensors so it so at night when I was sleeping the air didn't run. I tried the balloon trick to keep the air moving but it didn't work.
