:earsgirl: Hi I was just wondering if anyone had stayed at pop century lately and was satisfied with the air condition. I read on previous posts the air conditon was not so great. I love my room ice cold especially after returning from 10 hours at a park and we are going in August. :earsboy:
Thanks alot. 22 days till we are in paradise.

the control only allowed to pick from 72 (high) to 68 (low). (and any thing in the middle)

the problem we had was the opposite - they were having a cold spell and what Pop century called 72 and what we did were not even close. It was cold!!!

we stayed at pop last aug/sept and it was hot outside :sunny: but cool inside :flower:

i always set it to the lowest setting but dh/kids kept asking me to up it a little 'cause it was so cold they could see their breath! (okay, so they exaggerate just a bit!) :rotfl:

i'm sure you will be comfortable :cloud9:

Just wanted to echo what the other posters said - you'll be happy with the a/c. We were cold most mornings from leaving it on all night, so if you like it cold you'll be perfectly fine.

Our air condition was great! I also like my room ice cold, and it felt that way everytime we went in. Sometimes we would have to turn the air conditioner up, because it was sooo cold in there. :cold:

we were just there in June. Room 2544 (50's section, Jukebox Bldg) The AC was great. I have a DW that is always cold, so keeping the room warm enough was our issue. Coming in from the hot day, the room was plenty cool. As we retired for the evening were turned the temp up some so DW could be comfortable. It worked well the whole time.

My friends and I were there for the first 8 days of June and our room was always cold. It felt great after a day in the heat.

We, on occasion, woke up in the middle of the night to turn the temp up some since it was so cool.

Can't wait to return to POP in less than 6 weeks.

we've stay over 6 times and never had a problem with it being cold. if anything it might get too cold.

Hi all!

I'm going to have to be the voice of dissent amongst the ranks! When we were there in April, I found that the A/C was NEVER cold enough for me (this might stem from the fact that I have an abnormally high body temp), but for me the lowest setting was just NEVER cold enough!

OK, I guess I'm just weird!

Until next time,
John

::yes:: Agreed! We bloody sweated to death last August! I heard there is a way to override the A/C sensor but when I tried, it didn't work.

All you have to do is call maintenance and tell them you would like the A/C a little colder. They can set it so that the thermostat will go lower. We did this back in March after reading about it on this board. They guy was really nice and we had no problems at all.

Well I am just back and I must say that the A/C worked great and that we actually had to turn it up because it got a little too cold...at the end of JUNE!!!!

We'll I am very hot natured, so I like it really cold..........at night in room
4438 I had the blankets up to my neck. :rotfl2:

68 degrees all the time......loved it !!!!!

Pop had some A/C problems when it first opened, but they should be fixed by now. :) I've never had a problem!

We found our room at POP way too warm for our tastes in April 2004. We actually called maintenence twice and the problem was never fixed. We like it COLD when we sleep... like 62-64 degrees... so even 68 would feel warm to us! As a result, we've stayed at the All-Stars the last 2 trips... their AC works great!
