-Final option would be to stay in the Fort Wilderness Campground in a camper/motor home. {Anyone know if there is still this option to rent campers? I did this as a kid back in 78, and it was so much fun.}

They don't rent campers at Fort Wilderness, but they do rent cabins. If you're interested in this option, you should check out the camping board here at the DIS.

Thank you all for your info. I will definitely look into all of those options. I would LOVE to be in those DELUXE locations. And, yes, I do agree with you about the toaster. My kids could have some toast, cereal, bagels, or whatever in plenty of time for us to get over to the park first thing. If I was renting like that would I get the perks of the extended park hours, or does that only come with the Resorts?

Also, if I were to decide on the POR, is it loud? I mean, I want a hotel to be kid friendly, but not so much so that it is really loud and sworming with the bigger kids. If I were to book something at the POR or another moderate resort, and then found a discount code for it, would I be able to use it, or would I be out of luck since I already booked it? I'm not sure how these things work. I know that with the airlines, once you book it, you are stuck with the rate you bought it at.

are part of the Deluxe Resorts. Beach Club Villas is part of the Yacht and Beach Club, Boardwalk Villas is part of the Boardwalk Inn, Wilderness Lodge Villas is part of the Wilderness Lodge. They share all the same amenities such as restaraunts, pools, bus and boat service so yes they of course have the magical hours and Disney Magical Express service too. Saratoga and Old Key West are Disney resorts all by themselves but have the same benefits as all the Disney resorts. They both have boat service to Downtown Disney.

We just found that we could rent to be in a great location and buy our tickets directly from Disney or from one of the discount ticket locations. Also, since we have small kids we didn't feel we needed the Dining plan since we most of the time did breakfast in our room and made lunch for the kids to bring into the park and then had a really nice dinner out. Just the way we like to do things!

We have also stayed at both Port Orleans (riverside and French Quarter) both are beautiful resorts but we prefered French Quarter since it was smaller. Very kid friendly and we loved the Dragon Slide pool. Since you can walk over to the POR Riverside we swam in their main pool too.

And Yes, generally speaking if you book a room and a code comes out they will allow you to apply the code to your reservation. One thing you may or may not know. If you book a Package then full payment is due 45 days out from your travel. If you for any reason have to cancel, you would lose your deposit of 200.00 that you put up at time of reservation. You can however get a full refund before that 45 day mark. Now if you book a room only reservation at any of the resorts, you have a one night's deposit and you pay the balance at time of travel. If you need to cancel you can get that one night deposit back if you are more than five days from travel. I believe with the package booking (meaning tickets and/or dining with room) you can purchase insurance. That costs somewhere around 100.00. Someone please correct me if I explained that wrong!!
