I'm having a hard time deciding where to stay for my May solo trip. I originally booked a standard room at POP. However, I've stayed multiple times at POP and realized AS Movies is the only Value resort I've never stayed at, so switched my ressie to a preferred room at Movies. However, between the buy four get three nights free offer and the price for the preferred Movies room, for just $222.60 more I could move over to POFQ or PORS. I've stayed at all four moderates and enjoyed them all. However, again, AS Movies is the only value I've not stayed at. Decisions, decisons:confused3 . I like the covered bus stops, the boat to DTD, and landscaping at the POFQ, but is it worth $222.60 more than Movies?:confused3 Someone please convince me either way.

I think I'll put this question over on the Resort board to get more responses.

I'd definitely go with the Mod. I've stayed at ASMU a couple of times due to budget but now that I can afford a Mod, I always stay there. That and POFQ is one of my favorite mods.

Well, my kids love All Star Movies. However, I have not stayed at POFQ, but I have stayed at POR. Riverside is a beautiful resort and when I stayed there we had a water view room. I haven't booked a moderate since though because I spend so much time in the parks that I can't justify the extra cost.

If you are in the mood for a relaxing vacation experience I would check out POR or POFQ, they are a lot more laid back than the values. If you don't spend a lot of time at the hotel, then I would just go with movies. We have stayed at ASMu, POP and ASMo, and the movies is our favorite.

Going solo, I'd do POFQ, because I think the Value resorts are likely to be all or mostly families. I think you'd be more likely to run into other adult-only parties at a Mod. Less hectic too.

Although, i really love POFQ, i just cant seem to pay the extra to stay there on my solo trips, mainly due to all the time i spend at the parks, i always leave first thing in the morning and usually dont go back to the room till late night... I've always stayed at POP and for the most part have enjoyed the place, (reason i say most part is that I didnt like the 80's building on my May trip in 08, way to far from the main building and had to cut through the parking lot to get to the buses :( ) but my last trip was in the 70's building and it was great. First time i stayed i paid for preferred and was in the 60's building. There are alot of families but again, i'm never at the resort during the day. I've also always had great bus service!

Well, if you do pick POFQ, i love building 4, its close to the food court, and to the buses! and you have the Scat Cat Club!

I was in Building 4 on this trip! :thumbsup2 Great location, and even though I had a "parking lot" view, the parking lot was so far out that there were plenty of trees and benches to see well before the cars.

I liked my stay at POFQ, it was quieter (other than the toilet flushing) than the All-Stars ever were. There were more adults there, less kids it seemed. I saw some dance groups and lots of families waiting for the All-star buses, but I think I only saw a handful of small kids on my POFQ boat/bus rides.

well.. what do you really plan to do with the room ??? if you are going to spend more time at the resort I would choose POFQ... lounging at the lobby enjoying the pool... just reading a book under those nice shady trees... as for ASMo.. well I have stayed in all 3... my last choice amongst the three is ASSprt... but maybe because it was spring break when I was there... my fave is ASMu... but for me you stayed in one you have stayed in all 3... POP.. well POP is close to my heart esp'ly if we are talking about Bldg Seventees facing the lagoon... 3rd or fourth floor... love the view.. far from the food court... have the benches with lots of shades for a good book on a nice 50 day degree weather... so it really depends on your activities that you plan to tackle while vacationing... and also consider the busses... if you are not driving.. Cant help you on that department though .. I have never been on a Disney Bus but one time... :scared: :faint:

I agree with Timmy, if you are spending a lot of time at the resort, POFQ. If you are going to the parks, ASMo!

It was pouring all day Monday, I was glad my bus / boat stop at POFQ were covered. I kept thinking about how you have to fend for yourself outside of All-Stars. haha.

I love taking the buses, I get to talk to random people! I met someone on the boat to MK that lived 5 miles away from my work!
