My wife & I are taking our 4 daughters (ages 3 through 6) to WDW for the first time in November. We have never stayed in a Disney resort. The travel agent has recommended 2 adjoining rooms at Pop Century, a family suite at All Star Music or a Cabin at Ft. Wilderness, all of which are about the same price with meal plan. With respect to hotel accommodations, I'm more interested in the kids experiencing the Disney flash & pageantry rather than "creature comforts.". Any recommendations on which of these 3 places would be best for us?

We have stayed at Pop before and loved it! It's bright, big, and lots of fun...Great food court and excellent shop. I've heard ASM is great as well. A friend of mine stays there quite often. ASM has a family suite that would work well for you. 2 rooms at Pop would work too. I've never stayed at the cabins before, but from the looks of them, they don't look as fun as the other two places.

I'd recommend a family suite - either All Star Music or Art of Animation. Both have pull-outs that the kids would sleep on rather than beds. But family suites have kitchenettes so you can have basic food in the room - breakfast foods, sandwiches, microwave meals, soup, etc. Plus having a living room for the family to spend down time in is much nicer than just beds to sit on.

A cabin is great, but is much more secluded and laid back and may not work for your fun and flashy family vacation!

As you can tell I am a BIG Ft Wilderness fan. The cabins are a lot of fun (bunk beds and a double) While the adults can stay on the Murphy bed in the living room. Full kitchen for milk -cereal-snacks .Bathroom could be crowded (you're probably used to this) Suggest 2100 loop because it bumps up against a standard campers loop so there is a comfort station (super clean) you could also use if necessary. 2 pools , stores, cart rental, bike rental , boat rental plus easy access by boat to the Magic Kingdom !
I have 2 girls , they are early 20's now but both have really great memories of the cabins. We own DVC now because boyfriends are involved otherwise we'd still be renting at FT Wilderness. A bit small for 6 adults !!
By the way , we also stayed at the AllStars when they were younger and by FAR they agree the cabins were highlight of those years.:)

That is a hard choice to make, I think all 3 are wonderful so maybe go with what is the best price? If you need a kitchen then FW Cabin or a Music Family suite. Your kids will love all 3! But I do think the Cabins may have better transportation if you plan on using Disney's anyway. Oh how fun! Enjoy your trip

Something no one else has mentioned is that Disney will NOT guaranty you adjoining rooms. Whatever your TA has told you, Disney will try but will not promise. If that will be an issue for you AT ALL to NOT have adjoining rooms, I'd either consider booking something else (suite at ASM) or just book one room at Pop. Is there a reason why you're wanting two rooms there? Unless you plan on spending a lot of time in your room, save the money for the parks and just sleep in your room! Otherwise, I'd lean toward the suite at ASM or Ft Wilderness. Or even Art of Animation which should run about the same price as the suite and the cabin which lots of room and fun!

The OP would need two rooms because with four kids they are a family of six and exceed the room occupancy of one standard room.

I highly recommend the suites at AoA!

Two bathrooms and highly Disney Bling decorations and grounds!

For your age of kids, I'd say POP or an AoA suite.

We stayed at the Beach Club last visit and it was so convenient and wonderful. But, it was totally lost on my kiddoes - they picked POP this time and are adamant about it. My daughter is 6 by the way and she spearheaded the decision.
