POP 60's rooms ALL Preferred??

Hi All,
Just a question for you all. I am staying at POP in August. We are working with DU for this trip. I had asked our agent about getting a room in the 60's lake view. She just called to put in this request and they have told her that ALL of the 60's building are now preferred?? Is this correct or should I have her call again? Or should I call? I was really looking forward to staying in the 60's section.

No, only the half closest to the food court. The parts facing the lake are not. Unless it recently changed within the last couple of months. We were there in Feb and were in the 60s standard on the side closest to the lake facing the baby pool. Parks of the 50s and 70s are preferred too (closest to the food court).

Wow, as many times as I've stayed at Pop I never knew this. That's why I love the DIS!!

at one point, it was just the 60s and all of them. it was that way a couple of years ago. at some point in 2006 (i want to say summer or so, but i'm not sure), it changed to how it is.

preferred at POP is defined by a radius from classics hall which incorporates parts of 50s, 60s and 70s as mentioned. not all of any of them.

prior to that change, there were rooms you could stay at as standard that were closer than some preferred rooms.
