Poor Yankees..........

It IS the crash in NY.

And from what I've seen, it hasn't been confirmed that the pitcher was the guy in the plane. It just said, "both pilot and student died". :confused3

they said that they found his wallet and passport and did like a search on him and they revealed it was him! :confused3

Well sorrrrry.

I was just going by what was being said at the time. CN freaking N wasn't confirming anything, and I'll take their word over ESPN, who half the time doesn't know what their talking about.

Now that the Yankees have confirmed it, RIP. :confused3

I'm just asking that people don't get all grr with me when I'm saying I'm being skeptical about his death, when CNN wasn't confirming anythink.

K, thnx.

I was saying what I was hearing too. While all of you were saying he was dead, and that ESPN was saying so, I was saying that I was watching CNN, and they wern't confirming anything.

Then it seemed like once they did confirm it everyone jumped on me over old posts. :confused3

oooooo. but like i said, i didnt just hear about it on espn. dont worry mike! we all love you! ..........................sorry, sparx! :rotfl:

CNN isn't God. There are other sources besides CNN excluding ESPN. Perhaps by watching another station, might there have been opposing stories? If there were opposing stories, might it be a good idea to look at other sources and see what the majority is saying?

ESPN isn't God.

One source is never enough...at critical moments such as.

Poor Yankees? How about we think about his family and not the baseball team he was on?

It's terrible the way that his family had to hear about how he died.

I would really hope that they informed them before the media. Obviously not about the plane crash, since that would've been impossible, but that they were able to confirm that it was, in fact, him on board.

How do you know how the family found out? :confused3

I'll clear up what you guys said from what I heard. He wasn't practicing any flight manuvers or aything like that he was on a sightseeing flight that he had done many times before. The reason the plane crashed was because it stalled and he was trying frantically to steer the plane straight again. Finally the way the family found out (from what I heard) was that the family was on a plane back home and they waited until they got back home to tell them.

Also, the fuel level was low, according to what the last message received was. The area of NY they were flying over is the busiest for air traffic and the most difficult to fly through. Even the experienced pilots find it is more difficult to fly over the metropolitan area.
