cory lindle, a yankees pitcher died today in a plane crash. i dont like the yankees but feel really bad! what are your thoughts?

I heard about that! That's scary! I wonder if it was suicide or an accident. The news said it could be either one. My prayers are with his family, and the families of everyone involved.

um, yeah it has..................they had a "breaking news report" on espn......they had like emergency officials talking and stuff and they said HE WAS DEAD!

I was watching it on CNN and they never confirmed it.

I'm going to take CNN's word for it. ESPN is a bunch of hacks who don't have a clue what they're talking about, with the exception of Peter Gammons.

Our local news said that both passengers in the plane died, which was the Yankee player and someone else. But I don't know.

It IS the crash in NY.

And from what I've seen, it hasn't been confirmed that the pitcher was the guy in the plane. It just said, "both pilot and student died".

I'm a die-hard Red Sox fan, and even I feel sorry for them. My prayers are with Cory Lidle, his family, and with the Yankees. If I have my facts straight, catcher Thurman Munson died in a plane crash in the 1970's, so Yankee fans are surrounded by bad memories with this (Munson's death and 9-11). My prayers are definitely with them.
