My Fiancee and I have planned to go down to Disney this week to meet with the various wedding people helping us in planning our wedding. We are planning an Intimate wedding package, with a few changes that we are buying seperately (Cake & flowers). We have no problems spending money for things we want, and have planned to do so.
I understand that we are not buying the Cadillac of weddings, but neither myself or my Fiancee has had much respose from Disney throughout this process. This does not seem to be limited to our co-ordinator.. we had the same issues when were booking our wedding trying to get information on the differences between the intimate and custom (we ended up havign to take the intimate because there was no way we could meet the room requirements).
We are supposed to have a meeting with our wedding co-ordinator this week, which we have no idea where to meet her as of two days before.
We wanted to talk for a few min with the florist people and put in an order (we basically know what we want already) and have had difficulty getting contact information from our co-ordinator. We finally get a number, and leave various voice mails with no response. Now I call again today and find out the person is out this week.
We are not looking for the grand tour or anything, but we planned this trip to talk to people in person for a few min, and place orders for items that are important for us. Now it seems like we are potentially wasting a trip down and not be able to get to meet with the people we want to.
We have tried very hard not to be demanding and avoid the bridezilla syndrome, and are very capable of doing the legwork on these things ourselves. We have been very flexible in planning everything, basically letting disney dictate what the process is. In fact, we both understand that our co-ordinator is busy with other weddings, and are happy to handle our own issues. I have already done this for the photography packages.
Again, I understand that we are not the big spender in their customer list, but we do expect some level of service. Am I way off base here, or have others expereinced this?
