Pools open?

This. The things that pack people together the most, particularly shows, parades & fireworks. Pools do not pack people together like that. People move freely around each other in pools, but that is no different than people moving around each other freely while touring the parks.
Although nothing has been made official yet, there are reports today that moving around freely in the parks will not be allowed. They will have specific one way routes in the park with different directions passing within 6 feet of each other.. Sort of like what some of the groceries stores here have done. Aisles are one way , with "enter" on the floor on one end and "do not enter" on the other end. That eliminates the risk of people passing each other less than 6 feet away, since grocery store aisles are not usually 6 feet wide.

Rumors. Completely unmanageable at a place like Magic Kingdom. To direct the exact path every guest takes throughout the entire park. Who would even want to go there, if that were the case?

Well prior to coronavirus they repeatedly controlled guest paths during the day with parades. So it is something they have experience with.

It controlled guests' paths by forcing them together into tight standing spaces and crowded flows of moving people. That's not what social distancing is trying to accomplish.

Yah, it's looking more and more like communist Disney... I went to my local tavern in Wisconsin tonight for chicken wings. Just like a normal chicken wings night. No forced this or that, no restrictive masks, no mandatory temperature screening. Nothing held back. I won't be paying Disney for an abbreviated, restrictive, big brother vacation. I'm sure they can survive on those that live down there and the youtube people making videos for a living.

My September vacation will probably need to wait a year. Sad but I'd rather enjoy my stay than be pissed off for ten days at $350 a night.

Exactly. So the social distancing will obviously be a modification to that long standing practice.

Not what Communism means

Tomorrow they should be announcing when they plan to re-open the theme parks. Maybe they will have resort phases set out too. I think they have a plan but are just waiting for the Disney legal team to make sure they have all the basis covered and that they are not opening themselves to a law suit.
Did they announce their plan today?
